PP.

With the Undertaker match finish, it was the strangest double take I've ever done. Every near fall he's received for the last 5 years I wasn't really paying attention. So when it happened here it took about 20 seconds to sink in. I thought it was a timekeeper or ref botch and the match would be restarted. It wasn't until the replay that I saw he didn't kick out

I was so shocked when Taker lost, but after letting it sink in, it didn't bother me nearly as much as I thought.

The Taker matches over the last few years have started to become predictable with countless false finishes. I mean, as much as I loved the Triple H HIAC match, when he's kicking out of a sledge/sweet chin music/pedigree/fast count from Michaels, you start to think he's never going to stay down.

It was all very sudden. No massive gripes about it being Lesnar like some, but I think he could have done more than just use the F5 to keep him down considering what he's kicked out of before. They could have been more creative with that.

But anyway, Daniel Bryan!

Hey folks, I hope everyone has been keeping well these last few months.

I've just a quick question. I'm still yet to see Wrestlemania XXX, in fact I've not seen much WWE this year at all (or even read this thread one bit). However when away, I desperately just wanted to watch Wrestlemania XXX, especially given it's usual hype.

Given the amount of time that has passed since the PPV, and with reflection. How would you all rate Wrestlemania XXX briefly? (Without needing to go into any real detail). I'm just weighing up whether it's worth buying the Blu-ray you see on it's release in a few days time. I usually wouldn't, but I cannot find any good quality videos of the PPV elsewhere...

The HD links have probably been destroyed by now, but worth a look.

And it was a really good show, don't listen to the haters. If you don't know any of the results atall, then you totes have to watch it. Even if so, it's worth watching.

Thanks for your thoughts brother, they're much appreciated.

I've removed the link for obvious reasons, but I'm sure there's ways it could slip through.

Thanks though - I'd ideally love to kick back to the Blu-ray and enjoy the grandest show of them all in crisp HD, and relatively speaking £25 isn't a bad price given the length of the PPV. However it still seems too steep a price, particularly for someone strapped for cash like myself, and who is yet to see any of the PPV!

I do know a few results but nothing enough to bother me.

It was a good PPV. It wasn't fantastic or one of the great WrestleManias like some people have tried to make out, but I'd safely put it about 10th best. It's definitely the most memorable one in years I'll give them that.

Yeah, I think I'd agree.

I've not long finished watching it, after catching bits here and there the last couple of weeks.

I enjoyed Daniel Bryan's matches far more than I expected to be honest, particularly the main event which seemed to be well planned and thought out. There was a real strength to the story, which made investing in the match so much easier - and this was through the lens of someone who has watched next to no wrestling this whole year.

What did everyone think of the Undertaker's streak being ended then?

I flicked back through the thread, with initial reactions being that of definite shock with even some disagreement as to Brock Lesnar being 'the one'. Now that it's had time to sink in properly, how do you all think about it, and in hindsight - the right man for the job?

I'll never believe it was the right decision. But Lesnar was a safe choice to end it. I thought that if they give the victory to a young guy that wasn't "big" yet it would blow up in their face. The chances of failure are too high, especially when you consider how easily they go off people these days. They'd end up beating Undertaker one year then being in the pre-show the next. So even though Lesnar probably only has a few more matches in him (and the next person to beat him will be a big event), he's never looked weak or unworthy.

For a long while I suspected the streak would go Lesnar at 30, whoever at 31 (or a year out), Cena at 32 at the Cowboys Stadium. Beats them all and retires. And I still think that should've happened but I had my concerns that his body wasn't going to be able to withstand Lesnar's physical style.

Dunno if he'll wrestle again but I'll always believe they missed a trick by not having Cena challenge the streak.

I always thought (feared) it would be Cena. But ending the streak was the right thing to do. I can see what Andy is saying about a youngster ending it, but I think I still would have preferred it. It should have atleast been someone who works fulltime.
