Player Development & Age...

Hi All

So, in PES 2013, players had a Development Setting... Early, Mid or Late...
I don't know how it works in PES 2017, but I can't help but think that anyone over the age of 28 starts to decline!? Rather than maybe players getting a late surge of development (like Vardy did in real life).

So this leaves me in an almost sad mindset. Players I grew up watching are now in their early 30s and I know there's no hope for them to improve.

On a seperate note, personally, I feel any player over the age of 31 at ranking 80 should be 50% cheaper than someone ranked 80 and 25 years old)?

Here's my solution to Konami to implement for ageing players:
30 Years old = 30% reduction on player of same status and rating.
31 Years old = 50% reduction on player of same status and rating.
32 Years old = 60% reduction on player of same status and rating.
33 Years old = 70% reduction on player of same status and rating.
34 Years old = Free Transfer (but astronimcal wages)

Oh yes we had.

Speed stats start decreasing at around 25/26 years of age. Ridiculous.

Impossible. That's fake news.

Go play PES6 and use Zlatan. Really interested in seeing what happens there...

In PES2016 their price is based on name, then rating, then age. Meaning 35 year old, 80 rated CR7 costs in excess of 30 million, but a 26 year old, 85 rated Dom Solanke costs less than 15 million. In a game where shirt sales and publicity and so on don't exist...

People are seriously too stuck on PES13, I didn't like it at all, it was exaggerated in every way. Dribbling was a total catastrophy, I dunno why people with no sense of football write posts like these

I'm finding that players can develop up to age 28 which was Vardy's age when he started banging them in with Leicester in the Prem. You rarely see players improve vastly after this age in reality, but their playing style might change. Also, the stats of players over 28 rarely drop massively until their mid 30s. Dani Alves for example is rated 80 at 36 (and counting), which is a drop of 4 points over as many years. It's also worth noting that although overall ratings may go down, it doesn't necessarily mean the player isn't as good. E.g. I have Godín and Gaitán who at 31 and 33 have declined by a point each but gained player skills. Their team roles have also developed giving me some huge benefits tactically and financially.

I'm also finding that younger players with the same rating are more expensive to buy because of their potential. The exception to this is star names. Of course you'll pay more for Messi and Ronaldo as they're legends and their team role effects on other players and finances are huge. Ángel Correa is rated at 89 in my team, which is the same as Griezmann. However Griezmann is valued at £6m more despite being 4 years older. The reason for this again is that he is a 'superstar'. Griezmann will bring in £9.5m in merchandise sales each year compared to just under £1m for Correa. If you also add on the increase in fan club and sponsorship income which are affected by player popularity, you can see why Griezmann is valued much more highly. Similarly, Godín costs more than Giménez for this very reason.
