Question about laptop

I bought a new laptop this week and it was full of useless programs, so I decided to delete some of them.

My laptop has 500 GB HDD but I didn´t gain much more storage space after uninstalling and deleting the programs. After that I started downloading Microsoft Office and some games like League of Legends.

I noticed my new laptop couldnt run LoL and Microsoft Office didnt work so I deleted the files. However, I had like 430 GB before downloading & installing it, and like 428 GB after. I know it's not a lot, a loss of 2 GB.

But if it happens when I uninstall/delete other things, it might make a difference. So are there hidden files, and in what map are they?

I'm sure I fully uninstalled the programs, and I deleted what was left of it in my Progam Files map.

In short: I lost 2 GB when fully uninstalling a game/program. Means there are hidden maps/files which I want to delete.

Thanks in advance

It could be a result a System Restore point being created. See if you have any restore points saved to begin with.

just go to: contol panel and uninstall a program... and you can see almost every program there..

You haven't remotely understood his problem.

Sounds like you have an issue with your RAM as well. I would back everything up that you want to keep and strip it back, unless of course you know someone skilled enough to pick through registry etc.

What makes you think he has a RAM problem?

I might have misunderstood what he typed, but I was surprised he couldn't run programs, despite the high memory usage.

It differs slightly between Windows versions. On 7, Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System -> System Protection -> Configure button under the Protection Settings section on the System Protection tab.
