So far this year I've seen;

The Strokes - Brighton Centre.

Supports; The Maccabees, Shout Out Louds.

The Kooks - Brighton Concorde 2.

Supports; The Automatic, The On Offs, Nat Jenkins.

The Go! Team - Brighton Corn Exchange.

Supports; Smoosh (fecking awesome), The Grates.

The Kooks was probably the best, and most enjoyable, but the Strokes was blatantly the gig I had been destined to attend for a good part of my life. The Go! Team was fantastic just for the bouncy, energetic atmosphere, and the original supports! One of which (Smoosh) consisted of two young, American sisters (11 & 13), with one on drums and the other on keyboard - boy oh boy did they make a good sound!

www.smoosh.com

Anyway, I've got Paddingtons on Tuesday, Rakes in-store on Tuesday aswell, Bloc Party on 2nd, and Dirty Pretty Things on May 3rd.

Someone doesn't like you

Got my tickets to see the Chilli Peppers at portman road last night.

Not really a huge fan of theirs but my mate is and apart from the gig radio one did across the road from me featuring liberty x and some other losers I haven't really been to any other gigs.

Going to see the Queen tribute band as well if that counts, it's the dude that won stars in their eyes a while back, can't wait for that one

Good stuff.

Half of the band are from London, and the other half from Brighton, so they said it was like half a home-coming.

Bet that was class, think they said it was the first time they'd been to Newcastle which got a good rise.

Added with the fact iI had 10 pints of Guiness and about 5 doubles before hand, doubled with it being the day before my 21st made it even more memorable.

Oh, I never knew there was gig thread. Good idea.

I've only recently started going to gigs. I've been to see two unsigned bands since November:

The Light? - Sound, Leicester Square
Little Ze (formerly Trap2) - Metro, Oxford Street

The Little Ze gig was great. 20ft Rat was awsome, especially the intro. LOVE IT!!!

Brilliant.

What did you think of the supports? Assuming you saw them.

@ Dragonfly, heh I was going to make a new one, but saw this, and thought I'd revive it.
