iphone 4 music problem
quick question for the tech wizzards present.
the missus has an iphone 4 and she wants to put some music on it using bearshare as its free. shes downloaded the music onto her laptop and apparently now needs to download itunes onto it. problem is an error keeps halting this process and were not sure why. does it have to be an apple laptop? is there an easier way and have any of you had similar issues with the phone? |

Unfortunately for most (I think all?) Apple products you need itunes to connect it to the pc/laptop.
Download the latest itunes from Here. Make sure you download the windows version (should be what I linked you to) Install but watch out not to install any of the extra shit you don't want to install (a toolbar or browser etc). Put the music in itunes by going File, open a folder and add the folder with all the music in it. You can also just have the itunes and the music folder both open on the screen and simply drag the music into itunes. If the music needs to be converted then Itunes should do this automatically. Then just plug in the phone. Then within itunes the phone should pop up on the left toolbar under devices. Click on the phone (and you should get something like this this.) and check under the music tab that download music to phone is ticked, if you want you can individually tick which songs you want to download onto the phone. Then when everything you want on the phone is ticked just click sync at the bottom.

So you're getting an error while opening Itunes?
Try re-installing Itunes or googling the error you're get for a solution. Once Itunes is working you just drop the songs into Itunes (or open the folder) and it will convert it to the correct format if needed and then you can sync it to your device. And no you don't need an Apple laptop. |
