+The same squad last season minus Ozil,Flamini,Sanogo and the storm won 8 games and drew 2 out of their final 10 and we faced the likes of everton, man utd and relegation time superheros,fa cup winners Wigan,it was a very difficult run in and why many people thought we will no pip tottenham to 4th.(they had to drop points but we had to win,we were 8 points behind)
Consider this; We had more or less the same results as you at the end of last season. And this was while we were in the Europa League and the FA Cup too. We did it with the same strike force as we have this season, minus Eto'o. We did it with a worst defence. We did it with a inferior manager. And we did it with probably harder fixtures.

That 4 points at this stage is big, because you still have to come to us. I'm not saying that you shouldn't still dream you can do it, but the form advantage, fixture advantage, points advantage and historic advantage firmly lies with us.

Thank you Dr Meyyappan for your accurate, unquestionably not nonsensical diagnosis.

It was his own fault and until he eases that side to his game, these things will always happen. He goes down hurt in games more than anyone I've ever seen.

Micah Richards seems to be leaving City for free this summer and as Sagna also seems to be doing the same maybe we should take a risk and sign him? I know his injury record is fairly awful I reckon he'd be worth it when he's fit.

Is he out of contract or just available? Think he has a year or 2 left. But yeah, I wouldn't mind signing him, same versatility as Sagna. Boyhood Arsenal fan, though I wouldn't hold that in too much importance.

Liverpool seem to be favourites to sign him at the moment.

Should we not be going for higher quality players all the time instead of scrapping it out?I mean its not like we are the champions or have an edge over the other teams so might as well go for proven quality.

Well,he is out for 6 weeks and it will take two more to be match fit and thats a quote from wenger he gives 2 weeks to be back for every player who has been injured for a month or more.

What should he ease? All teams target him immensely, its a credit he is not whining about it or diving or getting sent off...he takes it on the cheek and proceeds what else should he do?

He doesn't need to be going into every single challenge when there's a chance of getting hurt. That's not the main part of his game, he's there to create things going forward. He thinks he can win every ball and with the speed of the game, that sort of attitude is asking for injuries. Look at the longevity of some of the best players in his position, who have similar technical skills. How many of them get involved in physical altercations as much as he does? He's holding back his own career.

And I don't pay attention to Wenger's time scale of injured players. Been wrong so many times (Diaby, Vermaelen, Ramsey etc.) and set backs happen a lot.

As for 'scrapping it out' signing players. Tell that to the club. We miss out on our main targets because of not spending what we want and go down the make do route.

Ah yes you're correct, he's a free transfer next summer. Reckon City will let him leave for under Ł10m.

That fight will make him a leader and let him impose himself on games and be an asset defensively, that is the edge he has over similar players..like i can think of Xavi,Pirlo,Alonso..We do not play him as AMF but rather Deep lying CMF..

But i do agree,he need not go for every 50-50 challenge..but maturity will come when it comes...but that side of him is a +

These dumbos did not realise he had a broken bone and had him play 50 min with that..no wonder.

Ofcourse there can be setbacks but it was the projection for the minimum number of days out at our club and incidentally

Jack Wilshere: Arsene Wenger backs midfielder's World Cup bid

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will do "absolutely everything" to ensure Jack Wilshere is fit for the World Cup.
The midfielder, 22, was ruled out for eight weeks after breaking a bone in his left foot during England's 1-0 win over Denmark on Wednesday.
England's World Cup campaign begins against Italy on 14 June.
Games Wilshere is likely to miss
Jack Wilshere
8 March Everton (FA Cup, home)
11 March Bayern Munich (Champions League, away)
16 March Tottenham (away)
22 March Chelsea (away)
25 March Swansea (home)
29 March Manchester City (home)
6 April Everton (away)
13 April West Ham (home)
19 April Hull City (away)
"To go to a World Cup for a player is immense and I will do absolutely everything so that he can get there," said Wenger.
Wenger expects fellow midfielders Kim Kallstrom and Aaron Ramsey to be fit within a week.
Ramsey last played on 26 December, while Kallstrom has yet to feature since joining on loan in January.
Wilshere sustained the injury early on in the win over the Danes in what Wenger believes was an "accidental" challenge by Liverpool's Daniel Agger.
A six-week absence was diagnosed but Wenger expects a further two will be needed to recapture full fitness, though he believes a place in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the World Cup is not in jeopardy for Wilshere.
"A fracture is a fracture, it is not muscular or a ligament," said Wenger, 64. "Once it is healed, you do not have to have any restriction in your preparation."
Wilshere, who missed Euro 2012 with an ankle injury, made his senior debut in 2010 but has only earned 15 caps, with injuries limiting his opportunities with the national side.
Wilshere impact
In 23 league appearances this season, Wilshere has scored three times for Arsenal. He has made four assists, half that of Mesut Ozil, who has created more goals for the Gunners than any player in their 2013-14 campaign.

Hodgson will name a 23-man squad and seven back-up players on 13 May, but Wilshere will miss key games for Arsenal before then.
After Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final against Everton, Arsenal face Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League tie.
The third-placed Gunners also face Premier League fixtures against Tottenham, Manchester City and leaders Chelsea in March as they seek to close a four-point gap on Jose Mourinho's side.
In his news conference ahead of this weekend's cup tie against the Toffees, Wenger also revealed Ramsey and Santi Cazorla are "very close" to signing new contracts.
The pair would join Tomas Rosicky and Per Mertesacker in committing their future to the Gunners.
Suggests 2 months out for him too.Ramsey and Cazorla will be tied up as well, our club is well on course to challenge anually for trophies again...rumor is Aaron will be on 100k,we need not do this but this boost might come at the right time and he can push us in the league and cup.

Highlight of his Arsenal career with us for Mikel Arteta, scoring what would be the eventual winner against his former club to put us in the semi-finals of the FA Cup...ah twist of fate,he was made to retake the penalty that he scored, what shall he do?Go for the same side or the complete opposite side? No,go for a complete different spot, the roof of the net with full confidence.Thats exactly what happened..hair still perfect

Oxalde Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been amazing, hes been key in every match since he has been match fit from return from injury, hes better than i thought.

Sanogo had outstanding potential but the lad has never played in the professional level, this is his first season and he is raw too raw..so he needs a loan to a midtable or higher placed club in Laliga,Serie A or premiership then he will be ready to be in a squad as ambitious as ours and can then climb the ranks.

Olivier Giroud is not that bad,his early season form is resurfacing if he is finishing 2 out of 4 chances who dareth complain,we wont well done.

Ozil was in blistering form, such an intelligent player and if the team turns up for the whole match like it did today we definitely have a chance, big one domestically.

We are going to wembley #COYG

The brilliance of Arteta. Whatever happens to him on the pitch, his hair never loses its perfection.
