Started using the Launcher 8 one, bit heavier on the battery but it's

Default android, I used to use Go Launcher! but it killed my battery. At least on my GS1, haven't tried it on my Xperia S yet.

Not heard of that. Looks like the SPB shell one and a similar extortinate price as well like SPB. Might try and aquire it by ill -gotten means to have a closer look at it
My other favorite third party one is atom launcher. Very stylish.

I've been using Apex Launcher for about ten months and see no reason to move away from it. I did try Nova Launcher and Go Launcher when I was first looking around but felt Apex provided a better experience.
