Exactly! You could conceivably have a one star team with lightning quick players.

Separately, so I did buy the career pro pack for $1.99 this morning. It allows me to take a creation centre tournament and use it in Career. I had downloaded someone else's tournament and not able to export his teams on the C-Centre website so thought maybe I could do it on the PS3 so I could edit this stranger's teams. You can't. OH well.

However, the only edit I needed to do was to change one player who had a wrong number and you can edit kit numbers in Career mode. So $1.99 to change one player from #15 to #33 was worth it in my book. You see what kind of mental problems I have.

Problem however, is the downloaded US league tournament was appropriately set to start in spring and end in summer and match times in Tournament mode can be edited to reflect actual kickoff. However in Career, the season starts with the typical europe September and ends in December (only 24 fixtures) and I cannot control the kickoff time so not sure if I will even use. Do you see again what sort of mental problems I have.

I do agree that the CPU opponents' players' abilities exceed what their stats suggest, including speed. I often see my speedy winger being caught up by a large defender. I pause the game to see his stats.....55 for speed! I only play online now.

individual demonstrations of super ability are there for sure. One thing I was trying to get to and may not be able to convey in writing is how all matches become relatively similar. So a match up of two 1 star clubs feels no different to a matchup of two 4 star clubs (other than for a few big name players). Joe Schmoe RW for a 1 star club flies down the field, stops on a dime (or a pence), changes direction like Ronaldo because it seems each game gets set to same relative feel. But his varies match to match. Sometimes 1 star matchups are so fast that a slight touch of pass will send the ball like a streak of lightening. Other times I do feel a difference between 1 and 4 star matchups. I often play the 1 star matchup followed immediately by choosing a club like Juve and not overwhelmed by the difference in feel.
