Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Just when it looked like they were back in it, Flintoff and Peitersen give their wickets away.

Looks like Vaughan is handing over the captaincy.

He needs to as well to be honest. A superb innings from Graeme Smith yesterday.

As for the other test series going on, what an astonishing collapse by Sri Lanka. From 130-5 to 136 all out in under five overs.

I actually found it quite sad watching the Vaughan press conference earlier, in fairness he has done a terriffic job but I do think it was a case of him jumping before he was pushed.

With the exception of one or two individual performances I think we were poor against South Africa, but huge credit has to go to Graeme Smith for his knock yesterday.

Lets hope KP can do the job and hopefully retain the ashes. I think its time to call up Shah and Maybe Samit Patel.

As for India . Lovely win,

Indian Spinners>Sri Lankan's
Baju + Kumble> Mendis and Ball thrower.

I would have Shah in my side. Bell should go, I'm not convinced he can score the runs when we really need them like Collingwood did the other day. Whenever he gets a century it seem's to be off of the back of another player getting one. Jones, Harmison and Broad should be back in too.

Harbhajan Singh is a spoilt, over-rated little shit in all honesty. On the other side, Muralitharan's action is extremely dodgy.

England...retain the ashes? Are you forgetting Australia snatched them back in supreme style?

Jones definitely deserves a recall although I suspect there are some concerns over his long-term fitness. Harmison is useful - but only at home.

Tubes is God is an unknown

it would be nice if he would now show some responsibility and be a bit more thoughtful towards the team by not throwing his wicket away trying to show off and bring up his ton with a 6.

Pietersen is that type of player though, that's why he's a fans favourite, he's a showman (at times) and tries to please the fans.

94 is still a good knock.

Here is to a new era. I feel good things to come with this England side. What i don't like is Bopara in for Vaughn! What is going on! yes Bopara has been great for his county recently, but Shah would have been a miles better choice as he has also been racking it up in the First Division whereas Bopara has been doing it in the 2nd Division.

Good choice in calling up Samit Patel to the ODI squad, not too sure about dropping my local lad Tim Ambrose and bringing in butter fingers (Matt Prior). Hes atrocious in my Opinion with the bat and Gloves. Yes Timmy has not done well with the bat but hes done a hell of a better job with the gloves than the David James of Cricket.

Don sweey, Baju is a good bowler, he proved it in that game. Look at his stats they don't lie. 62 test 255 wickets. thats around 4 a game. 161 ODI's and 181 wickets i can't be bothered to work out the average, but a good sum in both aspects of the modern game.

He started off superbly but after an injury where he was out for a long time, he came back as a less aggressive bowler and got plundered for runs more often than not.
