I understand your contempt for the man, but what he really did was not living up to the huge hype. I still think he might get himself sorted.

About Monaco. They signed Cavaleiro for €15m (if this was a movie it would be the worst ever. Money laudring where the bad guys don't even try to conceal it. Every Benfica player from the youth academy ends up in Monaco or any other Mendes team for 15m, when they are worth 5m tops) and a bunch of other wingers already, but with Carrasco move to Atletico I guess this kinda makes sense. And if there's someone who can make the best outta Shaarawy it is Leonardo Jardim.

I feel sorry for El Shaarawy and would be sad to see him go to be honest but how many seasons of injuries and disappointment must we endure?

He's played just 27 games in the last two seasons and while the injuries may not be entirely his fault, he could probably do with a change.

Take out the half season where he was brilliant and his record for us is dire - something like 10 goals in 75 matches. He isn't an out-and-out striker anyway but his decision-making needs work, his shooting certainly does and his ability to beat a player is currently questionable.

I assume any sale comes on the back of him rejecting the idea of being deployed as a central midfielder. If he goes it will certainly be a shame as I do feel he could excel in the right environment and he's a young Italian player. Can we provide the environment he needs? I'm not so sure.

Bayern Munich have agreed to sell Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United and the two clubs will hold further talks on Saturday, according to Sky sources.

Negotiations have reached an advanced stage, but no deal has been struck yet. Schweinsteiger is back in Munich after spending time in London watching his girlfriend Ana Ivanovic playing at Wimbledon.

He should stay at Bayern.

That's quite a conflicting post. "Bayern have agreed to sell Schweinsteiger" then it says "no deal has been struck yet". If it is true though he's a steal for the small amount he's leaving for.

Not really. Agreed with the player, no deal with a club yet.

As I announced in the shoutbox a while ago (), El Shaarawy will have his medical on Monday for a €2m loan move to Monaco which contains an obligation to buy for a further €15m once he makes 15 appearances (presumably league appearances but who knows).

I've read somewhere he asked Ricards about Man City. Like he is the man to answer.

Hardly a rumour, consider them "further developments".

Two-year contract + 1 optional in case Casillas appears in excess of 30 official matches. Total of €10m in wages are applied to Porto. The remaining €12.5m (net) will be paid by Real Madrid.

I'm sorry but I hate him so I hope you concede LOTS of goals causing draws and defeats, he is dropped and then leaves. I may like him a bit more if, in the 94th minute of a championship-decider against Boavista with the scores level and Porto set to win the title on goal difference (and Boavista set to finish second), he does this (the first one) from an Anderson Carvalho shot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7XKXPd7598

Aston Villa captain Fabian Delph has confirmed he will be remaining at the club and leading the team into the new season.

He said: "I'm aware there has been intense media speculation surrounding my future in the last 24 hours and I want to set the record straight.

"I'm not leaving. I'm staying at the football club and I can't wait for the start of the season and captaining this great football club."

And that's the end of that chapter.
