I was thinking about doing a monthly competition, and perhaps doing a yearly 'award' for whoever wins the most months in the season. It will probably need a mod to lock it down at times so people can't change their scores just after games. So any mods/admins interested and it may be a goer.

If you want to give this a try, then I don't really see a problem with it.

Locking the threads will not prevent people from editing their previous posts though. Phatmann (the moron who runs the Champions League Prediction competition) usually copies down peoples predictions right before the deadline.

THE PESGAMING.COM ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTION COMPETITION

Rules:

1. Give your predicted results in this thread - scores will not be necessary, just say who you think will win in each game, or if you think it will be a draw.

2. The competition will be run on a monthly basis, with a league table produced at the end of each month. The user who wins the most months in a season will be awarded the title of THE PESGAMING.COM ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTION COMPETITION CHAMPION!

3. Only scores given before the set deadlines will be counted.

4. As competition administrator I will submit my own scores but I will be ineligible for prizes/victories to keep objectivity in the competition.

You may be right. I think we will start on 16th October. Will give the mods a bit of time to set the thread up properly and tidy it up a bit.

Is everyone happy with not having to put correct scores in? I feel if you have to do points for correct scores as well as results, there is too much luck involved. I think just straight predicting the results gives a more valid outcome.

Spread the word people, lets get this thread going by the 16th.

The competition for october will begin with the premier league fixtures beginning 16th october 2010. This weeks round of fixtures will not be counted.



WE WILL BE STARTING ON THE 11TH OCTOBER, FOR FIXTURES BETWEEN THE 16TH AND 18TH OF OCTOBER.

PUT YOUR PREDICTIONS IN BY MIDNIGHT OF THE 15TH TO BE IN CONTENTION.
