Should Konami give up on commentary?

Lets face it, its rubbish and takes up shed loads of disc space. i just turn it off because its so crap. what do you think? is it really that important to the overall atmosphere of the game? i think it'd be so much better to just have really great crowd noise than comemtary because even on fifa it can be a bit rubbish. i think they should give up on it

Wahts the point of havin no commentary, that wuld just bring the game a whole lot down

i have the commentary turned off anyway. If they did get rid of it they'd have to make the crowd noises and other atmospheric effects 10 times better to compensate.

i personally hate the commentary, its a good idea but its repettative and it lags. i think crowd noise, chants and general atmosheric sounds would do me, i always end up turning off the commentary as it is infact pretty shite.

They used to have no commentary in three lions and it seemed to work ok, i didn't really miss it even though the other sounds were pretty shite.

I don't think the commentary is an important part of the game, I never have it onbut like Gedo says sometimes the foreign commentary is funny

It would be a good thing if PES or WE had a way BETTER commentary. I don`t know why, but it seems like PES/WE commentary gets almost the same every year, just like FIFA gameplay does. Having a good commentary brings a.) realism to the game, b.) excitement (something that spanish commentators do best) etc. but since our commentary sucks its better if we keep it off. FIFA`s commentary is brilliant, I wouldn`t mind having it in PE/WE games. Or, when you watch Champions League on ESPN 2 , there is a guy Tommy Smith possibly the best football analyst alive.

I really like Japanese commentary tho.. Ever since I played WE7 I got hooked.

I keep it on mainly becuase it sounds 'incomplete' without it. If they are going to keep it in then they must do something about it. Maybe more phrases, increased vocab or some better way of linking words or using team names more often. Rather than the shoddy "The defending team clears the ball" Along them lines. And also "it's in.................. Aragon........................ ........... they have 5 now............... Saha...................he's got 2 now!"
