The Chavs Thread

Are you fed-up of the usual baseball-cap wearing pondlife that hangs around shopping centres and/or insist on pointlessly driving round town in 'customised' Ford Orions. The Chav has become the scurge of the UK. Have a laugh at their expense with the following link.

http://freespace.virgin.net/chav.scum/index.html

Try the baby naming facility, and also check the links on this site. Some of them are particularly good, namely Sheppey Scum.

There's nothin' wrong with "chavs," ya 'ear me Reggie? Nothin' wrong with 'em at all. Sweet as a walnut geezers, they are. What's the problem with someone wearing a cap and having a car?

If I treated all of the "skater," "goth" and "punk" groups in the way you lot are making out you treat chavs, I'd have to bomb my local Woolworths every day because all these stupid goth kids (who can't even match clothes sizes to their own bodies) dressed in all-black, with black lipstick (and that's just the boys!) have decided the doorway of Woolworths is a good place to sit and have lunch every lunchtime. How fuckin' stupid can you get?

Then there's the skaters who go around with their skateboards. Woooh. Look at us. We can ride a four-wheeled contraption that takes up too much space on a pavement at speeds that mean the onus is on the other person to get out of the way, not us. Woooh again. We wear jeans that are about 11.5 sizes too big for us, because we like having the puddles soaked into our clothes. Our favourite time to do all of the really loud skateboarding tricks is about 3 A.M on a Monday morning.

Anyway, I don't know what everyone's obsession with "Ooh, he's got a Burberry baseball cap, get 'im!" is. If you done your research, you'd know that Burberry baseball caps aren't genuine Burberry, and Reebok Classics are actually a good pair of trainers to have on your feet for comfort value. I mean, yeah - they help you pull 14 year olds in Dagenham too, but that's merely a bonus.

P.S. Hopefully Nifty is back, with working internet and stuff.

woolworths = goth/punk/skater central, its the same at the town where i used to go to college, they'd all stand around and plug up the entrance to the shop and generally look ridiculous but the few ive met turned out pretty decent people

i dont have a problem with chavs, quite a few that ive met at college were actually decent people aswell so its unfair to judge people based on their appearance

Some chavs are alright, most of my mates are chavs, even im a bit of a chav aswell, but i don't go taking it to extremes.
The thing with goths is, they are all trying to be different, but by doing that theyre all being the same so whats the point?

I think i live in a town full of charvers. Its so bad, i wouldnt dare walk past the bus stand, and its not just the distinctly strong smell of piss coming from it thats the problem, its becasue all of the "charver" lasses hate me and will most definalty black my eye if i did as much as look.

its not the way they dress that makes people hate them. its their whole attitude. they seem to think the world owes them something, that they are real hard and can generally be just bullies. so its not ALL of the people who wear tracksuits and burberry baseball caps. they can be very intimidating as cheryl has said

My feelings exactly. Although i branded all chavs as "baseball-cap wearing pondlife", its not really about their appearence. I like white trainers and a pair of track-suit bottoms as much as the next man. However, when i was a few years younger i never felt the need to hang around in gangs outside my local shops, doing nothing in particular except intimidating old ladies and generally behaving in an antisocial manner.

Its the Chav culture i dislike - their ultimate goal in life seems to be gaining an ASBO from the local court, or getting an appearance on Trisha under the caption "DNA Test - Is he The Real Father?" And for the Chav motorist, the aim is to turn a near MOT failure into a hideous modded design freak and then hurtle around Toys 'R' Us car park at 90mph.

As for goths and skaters - i have no problem. Goths are generally intelligent people who respect others and dont harm anyone else. Skaters, again, apart from the 'aiming for you on the pavement' part, they are ok. Its just those pesky Chavs.

I don't mind Goths too much either.

With Skateboarders, there is a simple solution.
Clothesline them!

What would be a fun and simple way to make them all fall off?

From the chav forum:
Quote:
how clever and witty you all are

who the @#%$ do you think you are to judge millions of people just by how they dress?
im sure you all think your very clever sitting behind your computer screens taking the piss, but really, look at yourselves.
do you think any of these 'chavs' make websites about you and how you dress? no, they couldnt give a toss.

dont judge me an i wont judge you

Luverly-jubberly pic, Zyg. Gor blimey guv'nor these boys ever heard of the word "individuality"? Doubt it. Strange how to gain identity you have to copy everyone else!
Crawley's full of them. You see, the town expanded after WW2 to accomodate the bombed-out cockernees.
Their grandsons are the current scurge of the town, come & visit the culture capital of the UK. Think down-market Milton Keynes & you're there! The granddaughters are also a bit of a problem; clogging-up all the town centre shop entrances with their side-by-side prams!
Our chavvie boys hang around the town centre mall. It's the biggest in Sussex, that says it all really.
