Best Match Ever

which do you think was the best match?=
I have a few ones: Argentina 2 - England 1 (Mexico '86), River 2 - Boca 1 (Copa Libertadores 2004),etc.
It doesn't matter the year or if you were alive or not

Czech Rep vs Holland in Euro 2004 was a wonderful match...
Also...
I think it was United vs Liverpool a few years ago, it ended up at about 5-4 or something, or was it Liverpool vs Newcastle?
Arsenal and M*nchester Utd have had some wonderful matches aswell...

There are many clubs on the world, but only one Real Madrid...

Czech Republic 3-2 Holland was a pretty special match.

I'll always remember Scotland against Brazil as the opening match of World Cup 1998 in which we were narrowly beaten 2-1 by the world champions.

Plenty of others as well, I'll name some later when I remember.

Have to be Wolves/Leicester at Molineux when Wolves had down 0-3, then after second half, we stromed back to beat them by four goals.

there was one in the second division of Argentina where Union - Defensa y justicia were playing in Union home Court. Defensa Y Justicia was winning 4 - 0 at the end of the first half.
The Union tied up the match at 43 minutes of second half, but the at minute 49 the referee conceded a Penalty for Defensa y Justicia and they won 4 - 5.
I agree with the Holland - Rep. Chec in Euro 2004

Newcastle Vs Liverpool ended up 4-3 twice in two years at Anfield, speaking as a Newcastle fan I can tell you I went through every emotion whilst watching those games.

The first 4-3 thriller we were 2-1 up, then 3-2 up but Liverpool clawed it back and Collymore got the winner in the last minute, unbelievable stuff.

A year later, and another 4-3, we were 3-0 down with 70 minutes gone, then we pulled it back to 3-3 with Barton getting the equaliser with 3 minutes to go. I thought that was it but then Fowler scored with practically the last kick of the game, last minute defeat, again. Fucking gutter, but still one of the best matches i've seen.

Another match that sticks out in my mind, although not for the right reasons, is Blackburn Vs Newcastle in 95/96. If we had won it would have gave us a great chance of winning the title, David Batty gave us the lead with just 15 minutes left, then amazingly, substitute Graham Fenton (A geordie, would you believe) scored two goals in 5 minutes to give Blackburn the 3 points. The first Liverpool 4-3 and the Blackburn 2-1 defeats are the two matches that stick out in my mind, as the matches that ultimately cost us the title in the 95/96 season.

Newcastle Vs Troyes also sticks out in my mind as one the most nerve-racking matches I have witnessed. It was the intertot cup and the 1st leg in France had finished 0-0, the home leg, however, didn't go to plan. After taking the lead we found ourselves 4-1 down with 25 minutes on the clock, despite the massive task in front of us we somehow managed to bring the game back to 4-4, unfortunately we couldn't find a winner. Still one the most amazing matches I have seen.

The best Newcastle I have ever seen though was Barca in the Champions League, absolute class. We totally dominated the match and deservedly took the lead when Tino was brought down in the box by Hesp, he picked himself up to convert the penalty. Then Tino completed a hat-trick by converting two perfect Gillespie crosses with bullet headers, frigging fantastic. After wed went 3-0 up we took our foot off the pedal and allowed Barca back in the game, I was worried when it went to 3-2 but we valiantly held on for the victory we deserved. Classic.

My favourite non-Nufc game is:

Czech Republic 3-2 Holland

A popular choice, the game had everything, end-to-end stuff. One of the moments from the game that I remember most is Nedved's 30+ yard shot that crashed off the bar.

Euro 96: Wembley Stadium;

England 4 - 1 Holland : The most incredible display by an England team since 1966. The home side, led by Alan Shearer beat the Dutch in a display unmatched until Sept 1 - 2001 when they beat Germany 5 -1 in Munich!

For personal reasons though, I gotta go with 26-5-99

Having seen the game again yesterday, United's incredible comeback was all the more amazing - Munich should have killed the game. But United capitalised on their bad luck and got the job done.

For sheer drama and entertainment throughout though, it was both legs (there was a replay) of the FA Cup Semi Final in 99. Manchester United and Arsenal went blow for blow in a double header that had drama right from the first kick, to the final moment of the replay!

adams9802 has stepped out of the darkness into slightly less darkness

Well one The FA Cup final in 2002 when Ray Parlour scored the wonderful goal, and then Freddie Topped him with a fantastic solo effort.

The 5-1 Drubbing of Inter Milan this last year was awsome too.

The United States putting 3 in 25 minutes past Portugal in 2002 was fantastic.

Watching 10 man Manchester City beat Spurs was wonderful just out of spite.
