Hey another Mariner. I think we will reach the play-offs. If we got both Ten Hueval AND Wijnhard then that would be magic. I stil think we need an experienced centre back but not another Chettle or Raven. I think if we get one of the two strikers, or even both and this centre back, we could go up automatically. I think we will do well and I am very impressed with our pre season performances so far. I have great excitement and surprisingly, a lot of optimism for the forthcoming season. What do you think?

I think having both those 2 strikers would be class as I have followed Wijnhard for years and always thought he looked decent, especially at huddersfield. havent really seen ten heuval play but heard he could probably do a job for us. We also need quick mick back to his 2001-2002 performances and try 2 get him back 2 full fitness. As for the season I think with the players we've got, plus an extra couple of defenders, we can be looking for 3rd/4th place even 2nd or is that asking too much! we also need to try 2 boost our attendances in order for the team 2 perform 2 their highest as this is a major factor of Grimsbys. Havent seen any pre-season because of work matters so I cant say about the teams performances so far but hoping 2 see most home games this year.
also has Chettle deffinately been released?

I think they let him go, yeah. I suppose he was good and very experienced but gettign on a bit and quite prone to injury.
