POLL: should david james be englands number 1?

David James bieng englands number 1 goalie has really annoyed me in the past. I think one of the reasons he is put in net, is sadly because of his size. yes, it can be intimidating for a striker with a man like that in front of you, but he isn't reliable on crosses and corners etc...and this isn't reassuring for defenders, (i know this as i play in goal), and also, if he receives a shot which he thinks he can't get, he doesn't try for it, i mean he could at least make an effort, eg, postigas header in euro 2004...all he did was stick his arm up. And when it seems, the other england goalies are about to push him out the starting eleven, he redeems himself with a few decent saves (ukraine match). So i ask you, do you think he should be our number 1?

Id love the england no.1 2 b Chris Kirkland, but like Stuart Taylor at Arsenal he is constantly gettin injured and so won't stand a chance until they stop bein plagued by injuries. robert green is a quality keeper aswell tho and deserves a chance.

well we do have quality keepers in Paul Robinson and Robert Green, and when they r actually fit Chris Kirkland and Stuart Taylor! all 4 r more than capable of takin ova the no.1 shirt esp Kirkland & Taylor IMO but they have 2 stay fit and become their clubs no.1s firstly.
