General Advice and Moves for WE7

Here is a list of moves:-

MOVES:
R2 x 2 - step over, turn skill
L1 X 2 - step over skill
L1 + /\ - chipped through ball
L1 + O - volley through ball
L1 + [] - chip the keeper
[] - shoulder barge, body check
R1 - stop ball dead
L3 + direction - skill onto pass
[]/\ - feint shoot (do it quickly)
RIGHT anolgue stick rotate it 360 to do the ZZ spin

Hold down R3 button then push R3 stick - manual pass
L1 plus the above - manual air pass.

Goalkeeper actions (when goalkeeper play is turned on [by pressing R2 in the controller select screen)
/\ - slide tackle
direction + [] - make player nervous and do a bent shot

Free kicks:
up + R1 + [] - fast direct free kick
down + R2 + [] - slow floating free kick

There are a lot of skills you can do using the R2 stick too.

To play as a single player, in the style of Libero Grande,
In the player control screen, keep pressing L1 to go full manual control and then once again. All the way to the left is single player, one to the right of this is full manual control as previously and then more to the right adds some auto-switch to it.

Very Effective Long Ball (TIP)

When in your own half with no one offside, use L1 and [] to release a striker with a very long ball.

I have a WE7 Option File which has been partially converted to English. To save you time loading the WE6:FE file and messing about with it, get this file which is in X-Port form:

It is no way near complete but it has some player names in English instead of Japanese as well as all English club names translated so it's a good place to start.
Hopefully there will be a nice new showusmiracle updated option file available with real names, kits, transfers and stuff unlocked etc and I will keep checking for it.

For any of the name editing, there is an option in the left column, about 5 down which is made up of 2 Japanese letters. Click this and you will get the English alphabet with which to edit names of players and clubs.

Sorry if someone alread posted this but this is the shortest way to get the 10000 to buy free transfer that I did.

Play the cups you get bonus + 50 WEN per match you played in the cup. Certain cups are pretty short because you could choose to skip the first match in the cup such as Asian where there are 6 teams.

International cup ~ 2400 (i can't remember the exact)
Europe cup ~ 1350
African cup ~ 1100
America cup ~ 1150
Asian cup ~ 1100

That totals to approx. 7100. You can only get the bonus winning the cup only once.

Then go to challenge training (the 2nd menu in training) which you would get WEN for each level you complete for each type of challenge:
1 star - 10 WEN
2 star - 50 WEN
3 star - 100 WEN
4 star - 200 WEN
5 star - 400 WEN
totalling 760 WEN for completing each challenge. Now the easy ones you should do first are:

- Long pass (the one you use "O" to hit the target) think it's the third one in the challenge. Use Beckham
- Manual pass (really easy this time, move the right analog to the direction you want, take your time to aim then press the right analog to send the ball) I used Zidane.
- Scoring (the second to last one). You try to score a goal against comp. I used Brazil with Ronaldo and Rivaldo. Beware of offside.
- Defending (the last one). You defend the goal.... If you clear the ball pass half line or the comp misses the shot you win. I used Italy with Cannavaro, Nesta and Buffon.

These 4 would give you around 3100 WEN so all together you get 10200+ assuming you don't lose any in the cup mode.

Playing the league takes waaaayyy too long and I don't know how much you get from it. Dribbles, fks stuff are VERY difficult for some ppl, passing or keeping the ball takes a long time per task.

I beat someone 3-1 in the world cup with a great Beckham free kick into the top corner.
I haven't played it as much as I would want to due to work and passing on info about the game.

I think 5* level is harder than before and will take some getting used to. Most matches have been 1-0 or 2-1 so far.

How about yours?

I managed to unlock the transfer mode pretty quick as the day I got we7 i invited about 10 friends round who love we/pes and they just played it all night.

To set the team attack attitude:

In Formation Setup go to the 3rd option, then the 3rd/Last option, then the 1st option. Now u have 4 options:

1st: Manual Mentality
2nd: Auto Defensive
3rd: Normal
4th: Auto Offensive

(So it's 3rd, 3rd, 1st and 1st for Manual Mentality)

for once more you did a great job zyg. this is very helpfull. and aboyt 5* is more difficult I think it's better because in PES2/we6fe once you got promoted to 2nd division was getting really easy
