Question anologue or d-pad

now ive been playing on this series of games since the days of iss on the n64 then onto pro evo/2/3/4.now ive always used the d-pad to great effect,i could always beat my friends very comfortably either if they used the d-pad or the stick.on this one though things seem to have changed,i usually goto a friends house every week for 4-5 hours worth of pes,he says he does not practice and i believe him.i'm on my 3rd ml season so ive been on it for a fair few hours but i cant beat him with the same ease as i did before and last night well i lost the session 5-4 with 4 draws also.he uses the anologue stick and seems to be able to control his players, shots, through balls better than i can.has anyone else noticed this.

I've found the stick easier to use since pro evo 1, lets you twist and turn better. Tried to use d-pad couple of days ago, I was absolute bobbins.

I've always liked the D-pad the most, but if I play with it for too long my thumb begins to hurt so i change to the stick

It depends on the person using it mate, i personally like the D-pad better as i think its easier to dribble past someone.

Hah! I didn't think anyone used the sticks. I hate them for Pro Evo... too lose.

However, having said that, after 4-6hrs of PES, there is nothing that that compares to the relief that your thumbs feel when you swap to the sticks for a game or two!

D-Pad for me... sticks for GTASA/R&C etc...

i use the d pad i think its easyer to play with that but i dont use an official pad coz the corners are quite sharpe and do hurt after a while.

i use gamester pad with wider d pad buttons so they dont hurt

Always Analogue. Used to swear by D-Pad.
Can only produce "sexy" football with the stick now.

-26th November, will be online with the rest of you. Welcome to the future of the beautiful game- GAMETAG:- MGOOO

on pes1-3 I used the d pad as much as I could (before pain set in). This was purely because dribbling was so much easier. With pes4 however the passing and defending seem so much more intuitive with the stick than the pad. I am trying to switch from pad for dribbling to stick for passing but this is ridiculous.

I might just switch to the stick full time

Always use the Schwarz!

I'm a stick man, baby. I think it's sooo important that you can do
everything with the stick and ignore the digi-pad completely.

When I first got PES 3 it thought the supersprint was a digi-pad exclusive and feared that I had to combine the stick and the digi-pad in order to use all the skills. But as we all know you can do some serious supersprintin' with the stick too.

Keep your stick on the ice, Konami!
