OK so this is a thread simply about my love for the show. Does anybody else love it? For my birthday, I got a special video, an uncut unseen thing they did years ago and its proper funny. I've always been into it and I'm dissapointed that it hasn't yet come to dvd! I can't wait! The bbc site has some good content on it so I'd suggest that you check it out. Im pleased they've started to repeat them on Tuesdays at 7pm on BBC2, it was the first time I had seen it in ages and I laughed so hard it hurt. I think its just me who thinks its the funniest thing ever made. I am a huge comedy fan and for me its number one. I think I like the more random humour. I sometimes wonder why I am even laughing at some things. There are points when it is so UNfunny that it makes me laugh even more! Arrrgh I love it. I Need a new series.

The constant mocking of Lamarr was funny, as was the clips round. "The Dove From Above", and Vic's unfunny jokes were also memorable.

i reckon this is the worst program i have ever seen in my life.
saw the one with claire goose, myleene from hearsay, and some other random people. with special guest 'marjorie' from little britain the other day. terribley unfunny.
a particularly bad episode?

Majorie Dawes started out life on Shooting Stars, Matt Lucas keeps the scores whilst usually dressed as the giant baby that is George Dawes...I believe Majorie is his mum.

I've always loved the show and it's amazing to think that they can still be making it as funny as ever, it is quite old after all. The addition of Johnny Vegas was a good move and Will Self settled in fantasticly after a slow start. They day I stop finding that funny is the day I will shoot myself, Vic said an interview once that he used to go into sweet shops as a kid and ask for things in funny voices...he can't believe that 30 years on people are paying him to do similar. Sums up their humour pefectly I think.

Edit: Just reading the site that Kev put the link up for, the descriptions of everyone are fantastic.

Vic and Bob
The legendary hosts have been good friends ever since they started liking each other on a permanent basis.

George Dawes
George is obsessed with keeping scores. He's now 243-0 up in a Boggle tournament against his belly fluff.

Ulrika(ka ka)
The Nordic beauty has two nostrils, both of which face downwards. Strange.

Will Self
The first word Will ever spoke was 'ghost'. It haunts him to this day.

Johnny Vegas
Johnny's beard was the tragic result of an attempt to lick out a particularly hairy jar of glue.

The George Dawes one nearly resulted in a puddle here, genius.

I've always been a huge fan of Vic and Bob, I've got all their stuff on video. Remember Vic Reeves Big Night Out? And the Smell of Reeves and Mortimer?
Top stuff. I used to love Councellors Cox and Evans. "It's a helicopter landing pad" or "It's a service post, to be installed at equal distances, stretching the length of the promenade" and "A comb, for combing your hair....... With" I'm laughing right now just picturing some of the sketches.

Shooting stars is class though, they are absolutely crackers. I often wonder what they are smoking when they think the games up.

Here Uncle Peter, will you clean these shoes for me. And Bob, your spine could do with a buffing.

i dunno, I mean I've seen some of "Vic Reeves big night out" and although it is hilarious, and Bob is in it a little... Oh screw it what I'm trying to say is they are really funny together. I think I find Vic Funniest
