That's the thing. Mourinho fucks a club up in the long term. He leaves as soon as he sees cracks.
That said, I can't see the same happening at Madrid. They are building a very young squad and should be fine when he leaves. |

Mourinho could go, especially if Madrid win the Champions League although he would be crazy to leave with such a young Madrid squad, full control of team affairs, plenty of cash to spend every season.....I think he would prefer the media to like him or at least respect what he has done and still doing and thats winning titles, dont forget that he is competing against the supposed "greatest team of all time" and has a 7 point gap at the top with a game in hand against them, if Mou was not at Madrid then Barca could be top of the league and full of confidence playing better than they are and credit Mou for that, the media are full of shit in every country and he would be best off not even paying any attention to them like he has done on several occasions which just make them even worse, they dont talke about his record points haul at this stage of the season or the amount of goals the team has scored but rather the team and shape he plays, its effective, so fuck off....thats what I would say to them and if my players are happy and we are top of the league everyone else could go suck eggs......
Yes he could go, but I dont think he will, he is already planning the pre season and has already drawn up a list of players that he wants in and out of the club next season, yes he may be buying a house in London but he likes England so why not have a house there, its not like its going to burst his bank by buying a house in the recession, its actually quiet astute.

Managers will still come to Chelsea, because if they fail they'll get a nice pay day.

How did he fuck up Inter? And Chelsea for that matter? The reason they nosedived after him was because they appointed substandard replacements.

No. It's because they had a team for the short term. Barely any work on the youth side of the club. Just big signings and big wages for experienced guys.

Inter had already ruled the roost for 5 years and were not constantly rejuvenating the squad. They had won their 1st champions league since half a century as well...there had to be a blip or in a half a decade other teams should have caught up,come on man.
Chelsea...post him they got 2 fa cups and a premiership and reached a champions league final in the following four season and they had a lot of managerial changes and the squad was not rebuilt properly. You can say this for every great manager i suppose: Abreeden post ferguson Monaco Post wenger Valencia post benitez |

I agree with Joel on Mourinho. When he came to Inter, Benitez was left with an ageing team, and almost no young players had been blooded through, which would have helped greatly with a smoother transtion.
As for Chelsea, I think they had to make this decision. Some (maybe even most) of the players obviously weren't behind him. You can't sack the players, so the manager has to take the plunge. I might be wrong, but Chelsea look to be a difficult club to manage, alot of ego's and personalities in there. Someone like Guardiola would be good for them. Look at how he made the big decisions to get shut of Deco and Ronaldinho, then later Eto'o. Barcelona haven't looked back since. Chelsea need something like that, to move on from reminiscing over the days of Mourinho.

Also, what the flying fuck does the FA Cup matter? It is a domestic cup competition and people in England need to stop giving it some sort of magical significance. Matt, I find it incredible that you believe Inter's managerial appointments are why they are in the situation they're in. |

Okay if you are telling me that Mourinho needs big money and cannot(has not thus far) rebuild a squad...I totally agree with you.
So Sweey who do you rate as the best club manager in the past 3 decades? Ferguson? (Hoping you would bring somename i do not know of) |
