antreds WE7 opinions

I dont know whether i was just knackered last night or what but i sat down to play we7, and i have to say it is a great game however the keepers are not convincing, they are shocking sometimes even when i've adjusted the ability, i mean where are these acrobatics they possess? Jerxy Dudek is awful, absoloutely awful, he flaps at everything and cant dive to save his life, and the keeper punching the ball two fisted while standing up when you've hit a 25 yard screamer, just plain pisses me off, what ever happened to tipping it one handed over the bar or around the post, or smothering with the legs????? The keepers smack a bit fifa ish, its one area they (konami) never needed to change, i like scoring, but i also like my keepers to pull off magnificent saves now and again.

Also the game seemed like the players were all hyper, maybe i was tired but i played a match between werder bremen and sparta praha and it was playing at 100 miles an hour, there was no time to pick a pass, its even harder to get in the penalty area as the cpu crams it and your team is usually unwilling to get forward, maybe the tactics will sort that problem out however ill have to get the translation.

I really hope someone can patch it and sell me a copy though as i dont have the equipment to patch it myself (on works computer at the mo) as the kits colours are a nightmare, a terrible pallette.

You cant help thinking that if the keepers where left alone from previous series, the speed was down a notch (or an option to slow/sped up the game) and the official kits or the option to make your own including sponsors where put it this would be the ultimate football gamesplayers dream.

Its fantastic but does have its flaws.

Not managed to have a go of the master league, been busy trying to update the kits as best as possible.

I was wondering how everyone is getting on with WE7. Has anyone managed to hit a Danny Murphy type shot, the way he does with his instep, to curl it?

the volleys are amazing, scored one beauty with Baggio for Brescia in the top bin, just wondering also has anyone managed to crack this club to club option to allow transfers?

Scored a flying bicycle kick from the edge of the area and it looked cool. Lots of goals from rebounds too.

A few people have been doing the transfers. I downloaded the X-Port option file which had renamed every player and club to English and done all the transfers too. I haven't tried to figure it out yet as it's all looking Japanese to me....

Not allowed to talk about buying or selling patched versions, sorry. Probably someone will be able to give you advice when one is available.

For shooting, the usual tips work.
Play those on better form arrows, red or yellow if you can. Vary your crosses, and try to head them on to free players nearby for a volley attempt. Pounce on the rebounds. Use the players preferred foot. Let go of R1/R2 when shooting. Use one-two to get past the last defender.
If you can, try to get into the attack attitude editing in the formation screen and give your strikers, OMF and SMFs an attacking arrow towards forwards.

Haven't seen any side-foot shots yet except for tap ins for open goals. Usually they shape up to hit it with all their effort it seems.

i would like to see more side foot shots. Like for example. Ronaldinho crosses the ball in, defender heads it out and someone sidefoots it in from outside the area.

actually i managed to curl a shot in from the corner of the area with davids using the r2 button while shooting. That was in training and appeared as if Davids side footed it. It went in mid height!

havent managed one since...

Just the fact you curled the ball with Davids is a good achievement. Isn't his curling stat really low? I'll go check.
