problem with ppfomatic 3.0

Have recently downloaded reefurs we8jleague patch and the size is around 1.05gig. When I try to apply the patch using ppfomatic the sizes look right in the information but it is taking hours to apply the patch and still doesn't seem to stop patching. My hardrive on my laptop has 7.5gig free which to me seems plenty of space. On the readme it says it can take some people 20-30 minutes to apply the patch but I left mine overnight and so therefore 7 hours later still patching. I'm not sure whether it is a memory problem, reefur suggested to turn off my screensaver that comes on every 10 minutes or so to keep the computer active. Has anyone else got any ideas?

I had a similar experience last night when I applied jb's patches to my PES4 iso (gonna insert my own bootpack you see!). It seemed to take ages to apply the first, large patch, as if the PC was doing something else at the same time. Turn off any anti-virus progs that might be running etc and see if that helps. It only took about 5 mins for my patch to be applied so 7 hours sounds fishy.

Maybe the patch is corrupt? Or the image has somehow been corrupted?

Cheers for your reply mate. Got it to work in the end. I unrared the patch again to make sure it was ok which it was but I delayed my computer going to sleep as that seems to disrupt ppfomatic. It worked after 40 minutes which considering reefur said it might take betwen 20-30 minutes wasn't bad.
