What's the hold up?

If I'm not mistaken WE7 was released on the 7th or 8th of august, about 12 or 13 days ago and we're still waiting for a decent patch. What the hell is going on? Are the differences between WE6:fe and WE7 so great that nothing from the original patches for WE6:fe can be used? Most of the kits resemble last seasons and would only need slight tweaking. Ad boards and menu text are very easy to fix/translate so hurry up patchers!

But above all, don't get stressed out by tossers like me waiting for a decent patch. I just can't wait, that's all!!!!!!!

There seems to be a major difficulty with fixing the translations with Master League. But instead of sorting this out, they're busy making everything look pretty.

Tato of issextreme, the dude behind the patching tools is back from holiday today I believe so he should be able to help speed things up.

It is a bit of a joke how many different versions are available but none are complete.

But wendetta, wefriends and wedoit are on the case too so hopefully there will be a few quality patches out soon. Let's go hibernate a while....

If you take a little look at the ad boards and kits templates you will see why all the kits are being redone, the format is slightly different and the template now has more texture.

Ad boards too is slightly different.

Mod centre 2.1 seems to be doing the trick with most things but they are still having problems with kits, lets hope tato and co. can save us.

i heard a rumour (and until it is confirmed thats all i'm hopin it is) that the kits are so different than in WE6 that everyones havin problems with them, i.e no one so far has successfully put a kit into the game as the formats are so complex and this is why the full patches are takin so long and the translations patches are comin out so fast.
As i said this is only a rumour i heard but it certainly would explain why there are so many patches bein released and why all of them so far don't have kits done.

Let's hope they can figure out how to do the kits soon. good luck

You are right Proevo3 it's not a rumour it's fact! Unfortunately

A few of the graphic files have changed slightly, but the patching community has done well...so with the mod centre 2.1 i think that handles most of the picture files in WE7, except the kits.

Everyone is still waiting on the decoder probably from DTE. tato must be tired after his long holiday.

Well tato is back, and here's the update decoder status link

All the other things are moving along except sounds and kits, we think the encryption stuff must be konami's way of stopping the patchers, should hopefully only slow us down
