Dunno. But I voted for Pacino. The guy has this thing when he yells and his eyes stay cold. Like in "Heat" when he yells at Val Kilmer's wife lover "She's got a great ASS!". Class.

Neither of them come close to the acting talent of Steven Segal.

I suppose if I can't vote for the fat man of martial arts then I will go for Pachino, Tony Montana's death was worth dying for.

Now seriously, who is a better actor: Steven Segal or Jean-Claude Van Damme?
Close one.

Oh Man that is close, they're both so bad. I'd say they're both beaten by Ranier Wolfcastle aka Mcbain

But back on topic i'd say De Niro. I don't have anything against Pacino, infact quite the opposite, but De Niro just strikes me as being better.

Dennis Rodman. He outshone Van Damme  which nobody ever does, in ''Double Team''.

De Niro has been more consistant, though Al Pacino's magnitude at his best surpasses De Niro's.

And it was neck and neck with that monkey in an early Friends episode. Definately a candidate for worst actor ever. Mind you Seagals' no better either.

I don't know if Pacino's magnitude really surpasses De Niro's that much. If we talk about magnitude as meaning screen presence then i think i'd make the case for someone like Jack Nicholson as being equal to, or greater than, Pacino. He's great no doubt, but the only performances you ever really see from pacino are very serious, often conflicted characters. Nicholson gives a whole new meaning to the conflicted character guise in stuff like One Flew Over The Kukoo's Nest and The Shining.

In ''The Shining'' Nicholson was a conflicted character wasn't he ? Either way he was immense in it.
Pacino's not as consistant as De Niro, so I was not aiming the magnitude comment at his screen presence in every movie. I was aiming it at him being untouchable when at his best.

Pacino plays his conflicted characters in a very serious way, his only madness is violence. Whereas when wacko Jacko goes mad he's just utterly crazy, yet none the less effective in portraying internal conflict.

I think your right though about Pacino's class, he certainly has an edge about his top performances unlike anyone else. But consistency is an important factor.

if you have seen the film SCARFACE then you would easily rate AL PACINO the better actor. scarface is the best film out to date and it is so old.
