Surprising that Porto are still up there fighting it out for the title even after Mourinho and so many key players have left in the summer.

Closest league in Europe I think. Unlike certain leagues which Chelsea boasts a 9 point lead over the second-placed team.

Very close, should be an exciting season if you like Portugeese football.

Shame it doesn't have the players in it to lend greater appeal.

It's very close this year, no doubt about that. Mainly because of the rise of Braga and Boavista and also because Benfica and Porto are playing shite.

People just think Porto are top cos of the CL win etc. they've been dire.

Nice to see Boavista trying to hang on in there - they lost 6-1 at Sporting and 4-0 at Benfica! Sporting should have run off with it by now but they either win by a landslide or lose by the odd goal. Benfica had a five-or-so point advantage early in the season but Trapattoni has now worked his magic :|. Nice that Sporting Braga are attempting to ruin everything too. They were top before last weeks games. Excellent league....and Maritimo were about to join those five until they lost to Boavsita last weekend.

Yeah Maritimo lost 3-2. They were quite unlucky.
