The Italian League have announced the updated Serie A schedule after the suspension of the weekend's fixtures.
When news of Pope John Paul II's deteriorating health was announced this week, the Italian Olympic Committee responded by announcing the cancellation of a wide range of sporting fixtures in honour of the man who served 26 years as head of the Catholic Church.
With the Pontiff passing away late on Saturday night grieving is expected to be widespread across Italy, home of the Papal residence in Vatican City.
Those fixtures scheduled for this weekend have now been rescheduled for April 9 and 10, and in order to compensate for this there will also be a full complement of midweek games on April 20.
The Coppa Italia semi-final legs have also been affected with the first legs now to be played on May 11 and 12, and the second legs completed on May 18 and 19.
All stakes returned and a new betting thread will be made in due course.
