Thumbs up Lift up the atmosphere!

I have a cool tip if you're playing a season or just a single match/cup. Change the commentary launguage for the home team. If you play in spain against a spanish team then change the commentary language in spanish. Do the same thing against every team. THIS WILL LIFT UP THE ATMOSPERE AND IT'LL BRING MORE JOY AND LAUGHTER TO THE GAME!!!recomended

smoking ganja is an essential way to improve the atmosphere to another level. Try this with your friend and you will play like you were actually on the pitch...Ohhh what a celebration... :p  :o

If you want to soak up the atmosphere of the stadium you can press R1 and R2 during pre, mid and post match analysis screens to hide the stats and enjoy views of the stadium from various camera angles. Or does everyone know this already?

Changing commentary to the language of choice?

What if you play as the Nigerians?

Best atmosphere is to turn off commentary and listen to the crowd chants.
There's some great ones in WE6:FE including the tannoy guy telling people not to come on the pitch and I think something about the car park.

That sounds like a really neat touch. Noticed there was a stadium announcer in WE7 movie. I hope the atmosphere in PES3 dramatically imrpoves from PES2 - I think the crowd noise is dull and any of the limited number chants are repetitive.

The rule britannia chant really made you proud to play as england. The great escape was also in one of the previous games if i remember rightly. This was also magic. I hope they bring these back in PES3.

Forgive me for sounding ignorant, but how do you change the language once in the game? I thought you could only do that when you start the game up!?
I've been wanting to play in a different language ever since playing the early Japanese language demo with the Official Playstation mag boys!! The Jap commentary is much more exciting!!!

I have done and it's very strange. I kept forgetting that i was playing and found it hard to keep track off the ball. My biggest problem, however, was in thinking that the TV was turned on when in fact it was off and i couldn't understand why the game wasn't working. much better when you're stoned.

Drugs are bad m'ka  y

Changing Commentary Language under Sound Settings works well for Spanish, Italian and German teams. Mainly because the commentary usually bears no similarity to what's actually going on in the game - or is so delayed that it's irrelevant.

Just listening to their level excitement in a foreign language without understanding it, is better than listening to Brackley and Brooking wittering on all the time.

Playing short Konami tournaments or round robins builds the atmosphere up nicely. e.g. 2 players, 2 groups of four, each player picks two clubs to play in each, and off you go.

I've revivied the Anglo-Italian Cup!

Then you realise, if you injure say Giggs or Del Piero in a game, they could be out for quite a while.

Or, maybe if you can hold the opposition to a draw, they can't get through to the knock-out stages.

It puts a bit more edge into games.
