No official word from the club on Pato (given that everyone who commented on his nijury problems being resolved now looks stupid). Rumours are that his season is done and that he won't play for us again if we get a suitable bid (€25m+). Who in their right mind will want him as he is now?

Shareholders meeting on Friday where this will probably get blown wide open but here's what we do know: the club posted a loss of €67m for 2011. That's down just €2m from the 2010 loss.

Our players, coaching and management salaries are €160m per season, more than any other club in Italy.

Yes. I also haven't been here for a couple of days.

No surprise we lost: in December (before Christmas) I predicted if Juventus could get to the end of January without being beaten they'd do the season - they're one game off it. Similarly, when they beat Inter in March, I said we'd lose the derby.

Now the rebuilding begins.

A wonderful send off for the senators who leave today. Inzaghi scoring our winner was emotional enough but seeing the tears from most of those who are leaving today plus the tears from Van Bommel during his press conference a couple of days ago have been extremely moving. Zambrotta seemed to be doing fine but absolutely broke down in a flood of tears shortly after Gattuso did.

Nesta, Gattuso, Van Bommel, Seedorf and Inzaghi are confirmed as leaving. Although there's been no official word on Zambrotta, he too is going.

Flamini appears to be staying (two-year deal with a heavily reduced salary; ~40% of his previous wage), Nancy have confirmed that Bakaye Traore has agreed a three-year deal with us and Allegri confirmed on Friday during his press conference that Riccardo Montolivo is joining.

Gabriel should be made official tomorrow, he's in Milan today for a medical. Cruzeiro's second-choice goalkeeper who had made 15 appearances for Brazil under-20s so far, he will cost us €500,000 and take Flavio Roma's role as third-choice.

Seedorf says he will sort out his future in the next 10 days - I've seen a horde of Milan fans desperate that he doesn't somehow end up staying.

Gattuso's move to Rangers looks unworkable due to their transfer embargo so today he is linked with Lazio.

We are said to be closing on the transfer of Francesco Acerbi who is co-owned by Chievo Verona and Genoa.

Allegri was at the Champions League final last night, hopefully scouting Schweinsteiger and not Van Buyten. Truth be told, he's probably looking at Kalou or even Drogba (who has previously been of interest to both Inter and Juventus).

We are officially one of the top eight seeds for next season's Champions League due to the failure of certain others (Inter, Liverpool, Lyon) to make the competition.

Monaco have sacked Marco Simone after finishing tenth in Ligue 2 this season - they were bottom at Christmas before being taken over by Dmitry Rybolovlev.

-Silvio Berlusconi will have lunch with Rashid Al Maktoum next week and there are strong rumours that he will offer a 20-25% stake in the club plus a seat on the board for €200m. The reports go on to suggest that we will use this money to purchase San Siro from the council once our existing agreement with them ends in 2016.

To my mind, we must have ownership of our own stadium at the earliest possible opportunity or accept that, history aside, we are no longer among Europe's elite clubs.

-We're still after Francesco Acerbi (co-owned by Genoa and Chievo Verona). The player is eager to join us but Genoa president and all-round friend of both Milan clubs Enrico Preziosi wants to keep hold of him and is advising the player to stay put - presumably with the fact that he'll see more playing time if he remains once his ownership situation is resolved.

-In addition to Acerbi, the names of Davide Astori (a product of our youth team), Matias Silvetre, Khalez Boulahrouz () and Cristian Zapata continue to pop up. We're meant to be signing one of the four.

-Dede is continually linked to our left-back role where Taiwo and Didac look set to be sold. I'd say Mesbah too but he claims that the club have assured him he'll remain. In my opinion, selling Didac would be a horrible mistake - I think he's already good enough to do well for us.

-Mathieu Flamini will be leaving this summer after rejecting our contract offer which would have seen him take a 60% pay cut to €1.8m per season. He supposedly has offers from Marseille, Malaga, Roma and Napoli. There are a few candidates to replace him including Marco Rigoni, Sulley Muntari, Lassana Diarra and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk. We could sign two of them but if we do that means we definitely get either Rigoni or Muntari (if not both).

-Massimiliano Allegri says we're looking for a high quality midfielder..hmm.
