Slow player growth

I have a team of promising youngsters (Vomme, Baumjohann, Babel, Torres etc.), but they seem to be improving incredibly slowly, at least compared to growth in PES4. After about 7 matches, Baumjohann and a couple of others have gone up one point in most stats, but most of my youngsters are still struggling along behind. At this rate, some players will only improve one point per season... In the last version, the high-potential players (Cesc Fabregas, Baumjohann) improved 1 point every 2 to 3 matches and would eventually surpass their curves.
Am I doing something wrong, or is growth just slower in PES5?

Also, after some Cup matches, some players only improve in 3 or 4 stats and not in all of them. Why is this?

Cheers!

Yer i do agree it is abit slow. I have had players only go up 4 points for the whole season and many 1 point. I think it is trying to make it harder for us and make the game more realistic that it takes a while for a player to turn into somethin special, (exclude) mr Rooney.

Definitely

The last game was pretty easy, once you had a semi-decent team. This is much more of a challenge and at least you're getting your money's worth!

Would still prefer my players to improve just a little bit quicker though

Ha well it shall take its time but in 3 seasons or so you should be able to see a good change in there play. Am in my second season now and i can see a change in there speed and dribbling.

Nope, you can only see the curve once they're in your squad.
However, you do get an indication as to whether they're on the up etc. by pushing right on your negotiation list, as you do to see the stars re. the dificutly of signing the player.
