My friends father works for the Cardinals/Suns/Diamondbacks and he has told me that there are no plans for MLS to expand in AZ which is a shame as we have a huge soccer following now. Maybe not the size of Cali, but we are definately a big region for soccer.

Ah, you are a lucky man, I only had the chance to see the Canyon in the middle of summer, absolutely no fun. I love going up to Flag or Prescott during the winter though and this winter I may be going camping with some friends. Should be good fun.

-So what are the chances of the Cardinals doing any good this year? Slim? My friend follows football well and apparently we only need an offensive line...? Or is it the defensive one? Can't recall.

I think we have gone off topic a bit so I will get back to Football.

The Cards are pretty set but they do need an Offensive Line as its pretty weak. I am not convinced with D either. They just beat San Fransisco but did everything to let the 49ers back into the game

Final score San Fransisco 49ers 27 Arizona Cardinals 34

Hm, I always found the fact that Palmer (?), the quarterback from a couple years ago that went to Denver, became good was justification enough that the Cards just weren't going to ever become good.

Maybe I'll try and catch a game this year. When is the next one? Next Monday?

Jake Plummer not Palmer.

If you want to see Arizona get hammered you wont have to wait long - next Sunday they play in Seattle

Well a great evening for me. My pick for the Superbowl got trounced (Carolina), and my team, the Giants, also took a beating.

So I will now broaden my pool to win the Superbowl, it will be one of:

Baltimore
Carolina - Still my #1 pick
Seattle
Pitsburgh - Worst spelling ever
Dallas

and...

Denver

Cali the season has only just started, this weekend. If your eally want to get into it then theres a live game on Channel 5 tonight (you may want to set your video as its on pretty late for us as it is live in USA)

Also you can see all the TDs etc from all the games played so far on www.NFL.com

Just got Madden 07 today. Loving the new features and currently beating the Dolphins 7-0 at the end of the first.

Gutted there is no online though.

If you have Sky then Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 10am on SS2 (check the times and channel as I am not 100% on those), there is Endzone.

Think Match of the Day with American football. Good show, and lets you see alll the teams in action. You also won't be able to watch all teams, as there are only two games showed a week and although the teams are random you will only get to see certain teams once. The coverage is lifted from the Fox Sports channel in the US. And they seem to show the Panthers and Falcons quite a lot.

Any news on the fantasy league ?

21-21 at the end of the third with the dolphins.

28-28 OT baby.

JETS WIN JETS WIN!!!! Punt fake followed by a field goal fake from 38 yards. Thrown to wide reciever Jolley.

Loved that. What a game. Gonna go check out the add ons.

I'd love to get a fantasy league going (not running, participating).

Over Time is soooooo stupid it is just a coin toss to decide a match.

They won the toss and I had to defend. I think OT should be like sudden death pens. If the side who wins the coin toss scores a field goal then you have to until your next turnover or you lose. However if you score a TD from winning the coin toss then you win no matter what.

What you reckon?

Yeah that would be more sensible, but I would have a kick-off. Also you would have both offensive and defensive lines. You would take kicks from:

15 yards
20 yards
30 yards
40 yards
45 yards

And then it would move back by a yard each time. 46, 47, 48, 49, 50 and so on. If your opponent misses and you get yours you win.

But that would just be stupid.
