Van der Meyde

Anyone get to see the Andy Van der Meyde interview where he fainted? This is what he said before he collapsed:

"It was hard for me out there when I had that Scottish fool breathing down my neck," he claimed.

"The longer the game went, the more that defender became crazy. He just didn't know what to do.

"That is why I played so well. He played like a blind man. He didn't play with his mind.

"He only saw one thing the whole game - me, not the ball."

Any wonder he fainted having Gary Naysmith hound him the entire game, truth is Van der Meyde probably was their best player on saturday but with an attitude like that I can see the mighty Scotland doing the business tomorrow. Always has been the problem with the Dutch, they really do believe they are better than they actually are. Here's hoping they are ejected from the tournament, what a celebration that will be.. arrogant twats. I'm not even gonna mention the Russians!

I hope youre just speak about the dutch players. Not the dutch people. Here in holland the players have lost every bit of credit and respect from the people, Im true!
The play without passion. They are old. They think the are worldclass. They are arrogant.
Believe me as I say that the dutch people has more then enough of the dutch players!

But the total football that dutch dished out is very nice to watch, but sometimes they tend to do it alone, i feel they lack teamwork and spirit. why they lack passion?

Dutch football is in real danger if they dont qualify for Euro 2004, and if Scotland score 1st, i dont think they will lose 3 goals, which is what holland will need!!!

Andy Van Der Meyde is a great player, but like all the other Dutch players, they cant seem to gel as a national team

Personally, I like the Dutch people, but dont get me started on the national team.

Bunch of moaning, cocky, arrogant, whimps..... In my opinion.

no the people are ok but the players in that team are arrogant bastards, it is ok to be arrogant if you are the like of france but holland never live up to their own lofty expectations yet they seem to believe they are far superior than the opposition and treat them with a complete lack of respect. That said they were clinical last night against the mighty mighty scotland who took a bit of a beating, funny to watch though for us non-scots. hard luck bertie next time for sure.

They're hardly a unit, you're right. RVN and Kluivert practically detest each other and considering the actions RVN took against their national coach I wonder if much of the team respect him at all any more.

do Kluivert/Ruud not LIKE each other, or not like PLAYING with each other, cos a few months ago all RVN could talk about was how good him and Kluivert would be at Man U if he joined.

The first match which played RVN and Kluivert together was against Germany. They played GREAT but after that match RVN was heavily injuried and i took 1,5 years when they played again with eachother. And after RVN injury they didnt play well, they played shit, but Dick Advocaat still believes in them both. So the conclusion is that they dont like to play whit eachother and that Dick Advocaat recovered on time from his mistake to let Kluivert and RVN play together.
But 6-0 who was expecting that?!
Sneijder was great I think 4 assists and 1 goal!! What do you think of him?/

Cheerz

He was excellent. Deserved man-of-the-match.

He kicked an object in the dig-out and waved his hands in a disgustful manner at the coach, Advocaat, in plain view of most because he was susbsituted against the Czechs. Quite disrespectful. He then apologised for the incident, and, at the start of this month had a fresh outburst at Advocaat, again. Things, seemingly, have calmed down since then.

Even so, now Kluivert is unhappy with both RVN & Advocaat. He believes that the partnership between him and RVN doesn't work at all, and that Advocaat shouldn't start both of them.

No rest in the Dutch camp.

Well, Kluivert dont know what he wants, then he want to be a striker then a number 10. Its really always something with Kluivert. Its the biggest asshole of the ducthteam together with Seedorf!
