General - tackle ?

I cant stop people with the regular circle tackle . They just seem to run trough me som how. The slide tackle works fine though, but have they changed the circle tackle? Before it was far more agressiv. Is running into them the only way of stopping them? Someone please help me!

interesting, since the circle tackle IS the slide tackle...

yes, but I know exactly what is meant.. from pes5 we're used to running towards opponent to tackle using X or [].. this doesn't seem to work quite the same way in pes6 as they just run right through you making huge holes in defence.. sliding is - as stated - working fine (using circle LOL).. So far have only played a handful of matches and I'm not sure if both X and [] dont work well -- maybe it was only using X??

Come to think of it, I'm not sure I ever used the X-tackle in my first 10 games or so, I just concentrated on getting in the opponents way. I'm sure that square still brings backup in.

the square back-up defender often slides and gets yellows now so you've got to be careful im employ the tactic "if in doubt, take em out" with shoulder barges and heel clips and what-not. it'll come in time have patience.

I forgot to tell you that ive changed the controllers. I changed it to
"fifa mode" if you know what i mean, but thanks anyway.I guess I just have to get used to it.

I've had to change my defending habits so much. On PES5 i hardly ever used square, now it's much more usefull.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the new defending system on this game, I've played 6 matches so far and only conceded 3 goals. All being against decent opposition I might add, the most important thing to do I find is to jockey the wingers. I also jockey a little in the centre too as I let my defence get into position and crowd the opponent out. The defending is a monstrous step-up from WE10 definetely, makes the game a lot more realistic too.
