PES6 music editing

Hi I recenty read the music editing thread on PES5 by a fella named 'KO_NAMI'; I think he's a regular on here but I've been unable to contact him. I thought well it must not be much different for PES6, it isn't too different, but it is different and I don't know what to do. I am hoping the same person or someone else can write a tutorial for music editing on PES6. I'd do it myself if I knew what to do, but would appreciate a guide very much.

Best wishes

Hi mate. I can write you a quick (and very easy) tutorial for editing the music files in PES6 if you mean the PS2 version?

OVERVIEW:

Create ADX files from MP3 files
Insert new ADX files into O_SOUND.AFS

You will need the following programs:

Nero Wave Editor
DkZStudio (the latest version is the best, but it is in spanish.....)

1. Get hold of an O_SOUND.AFS map from somewhere so you can decide what tunes you want to replace. I have one if you need it.

2. Use DkZStudio to extract the O_SOUND.AFS from your PES6 ISO and put it into a folder you can call PES6 AFS

3 Open the O_SOUND.AFS yuo just extracted using DkZStudio. Select the file you want to replace and right-click on it. Choose 'Open using - Audio Player. You will hear the tune being played so you can be sure its the right tune.

5. Make a note of the number of the file to be replaced. Close DkZStudio.

6. Open Nero Wave Editor. Open your MP3 track and then go to Edit - Convert Sample Format and then set the sample rate to 24000, the bit depth to 16 bit (CD & DAT) and keep the anti-aliasing filter as Fast. Press OK.

7. Choose File - Save As (chose .WAV file type) and call the file the same name as the file in your O_SOUND you want to replace.

8. Do this for all the tunes and save the .WAV tunes in a folder called WAV Music.

9. Open DkZStudio again and choose Tools - ADX <> WAV Tool. Select your WAV Music folder with all your .WAV files you made using Nero Wave Editor in the first box. In the next box you should choose the destination folder for the newly created ADX files. I recommend using a folder in the DkZStudio (I always use the TEMP folder in C:\Program\DkZ Studio.

10. Start the process and wait till it's done.

11. Open your O_SOUND and insert the new ADX files over the old ones. If the new file is larger it will tell you so and you will need to rebuild your ISO, if the song is smaller you won't need to rebuild.

Any questions, just ask!

Cheers good help that. Just before I saw your reply I'd been trying to match up the anthem the players run out to on pes6 (Yes PS2) with the correct adx file on AFS Explorer, and it appears 'unnamed_45.adx' is the one. I'm hopefully replacing it with 'Premiership Anthem' - it's a wicked tune. I barely like any of the music on the game anyway so will replace the other tracks with some other stuff. What I would like to do is edit the crowd sounds, but I think this might be hard to do, only because there are so many...Which ones are the right ones? Would love to replace them with real terrace chants. Will keep you posted on how I get on, thanks once again.

Mumpleaser all is going well apart from one thing. I am trying to convert a WAV file but I keep getting an error screen, you know the type that pops up that asks you to 'send error report'. It must have something to do with the actual WAV file, because I have had no problems with the other two I've done so far; they converted perfectly. Have you ever had this and know how to sort it out? Cheers.

I've sorted out the problem with the windows error report thing, instead of using DkZ Studio's ADX-WAV converter tool, I followed 'ko-nami's' PES5 music editing instructions....Using adxencd via command promp, it appears to work every time without any error messages.

Yes, you need to be able to play back-ups.

Can anyone help me out by telling me the file name for the music in Edit Mode?

unknow_00064.adx? Pretty sure that's the one, with the dodgy sounding horns. What do we need to do then to be able to run it on the PS2? My mates got a back-up harddrive where he just records all his games, if that's what you mean by 'back-ups' I'll have to buy one of them (£40 I think). I'll definately do it just for this alone, the game will sound much better.

Cheers for the file name Toffee. Once you have added the files to your O_SOUND.AFS you will need to re-insert the O_SOUND into your ISO and then burn the ISO onto a DVD-R (unless you have the possibility of directly putting the ISO onto your PS2 HDD). This means that your PS2 must be able to play burnt discs aka back-ups.

Well I used a DVD-R to burn off a copy of the 'Superman III' movie a while back, which loaded and ran fine on my PS2.
