Max Drive Error

Firstly, I apologise if this is in the wrong place.

I recently bought a Max Drive purely so I can upate the squads on Pro Evo6, however, the tiny PS2 disc that came with it doesn't work on my PS2 - I just get disc read errors. Any ideas what, if anything i can do to sort this out?

I was wondering if I loaded the actual max drive with the option files that I wanted, would It work if i was to then install the PS2 disc on a mates PS2 (if it works on his), then transfer the option file across to my memory card - would it then work if I used that memory card in my PS2?

Also, does the PC software have to be used as I primarily have a mac - so when the Max Drive is plugged into a usb port it just appears as a normal usb flash drive. So could I just drag and drop across? I do, have access to a Windows pc if it is needed.

any advice appreciated.

cheers.

No need to install any software in your PC, the max drive acts like a regular flash drive in your PC, about the disc error, if you have your ps2 in vertical position try moving it to horizontal or viceversa, while the disc is loading, sometimes those max drive discs are a lil bit tricky.

I moved the PS2 about when loading - but now I get this message instead. I suppose it's now reading the disc, it just doesn't want to play along..

Yes. Make sure you uncrush the files tho...or its a no go.

And this may seem like a VERY stupid point...but make sure you're putting the PS2 disc into your PS2 and not the PC one.

yeah, its definately the PS2 disc i'm putting in the ps2. I have tried it with the PC disc also - just on the off chance that it had been labelled incorrectly. It wasn't.

My advice is to try it on your mates....if that doesn't work contact codejunkies...or send/take it back to where-ever you bought it.
