PS2 - Can't get my forwards to follow counterattacks

Hi everyone,

I keep having the problem mentioned in the title. I play a 4-4-2 C3 formation with Man U and whenever i counter-attack, i look for a player to play a 1-2 or pass the ball somewhere within the penalty area, but the second striker stops a few meters outside the area. Even when in slow, organised attacks, i try to centre the ball from the sides and my forwards don't run inside the area for the header, or the cross is directed at the top of the box. I tried setting the players up with individual forward attackin runs but no difference?

Is there something else i can do?

If you have your second striker set as ss and not cf this could be the reason he's not getting into the box to support as ss tend to hang around the edge of the area instead of running into it

if its not this make sure you have your stratergy set to counter attack have attacking arrows pointing forwards on you cf's and set both of your cf's defence levels to low. Alos have you attack/defence levels set to manual and when you break crank the attack level up to one below red. hope this helps
