PES3 IS much better than WE7!

I've just got my hands on a patched Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (Jonoyos latest) and I just want to say that it is much better than WE7! All this talk about WE7 and PES3 being identical is pure crap. Apart from English commentary (or French, German or Italian) there are numerous improvements to this already fantastic game.

1. Extra animations that do not exist in WE7. Goalkeeper animations, players react and control the ball in ways that simply aren't present in WE7.

2. Proper English throughout the menus etc. No spelling mistakes etc.

3. Much more realistic crosses and corners. You can actually score from a cross or corner in PES3, something that was unrealisticly hard in WE7.

4. The whole game seems a bit more intuitive. I can't really explain this but it seems like whatever you can think of can be done in PES3 and players get on the end of long balls passed by someone with good long pass stats.

All in all a much better game!!

P.S Jonboyo's done a f+%&¤ing fantastic job with that patch! Respect to you sir!!

I have a copy of both WE7 and PES3. I find WE7 much too easy now - win 95% of games on 5-star. Move onto PES3 and lucky to win 50% of the games.

I've only played the demo of PES3 so maybe my opinion isn't too valid but apart from the crossing WE7 is the better game imo. They're both great agmes though.

Surely it can't be realistic if crosses and corners never, ever result in goals? In real life getting a corner is a great chance to score (if struck properly). It's still hard to score from a corner in PES3, just not impossible like it is in WE7. WE7's system makes it pointless to get the ball out onto the wing to cross it in as it doesn't get you anywhere hence the fact that almost all goals in WE7 are scored from direct action in front of the box making for some very 'same old, same old' goals in my opinion.

Well I agree with you about extra animations, but score from an corner in we7 is absolutly possible. If you have a good cornerkicker and a good header you have a good chance to score.
I was suprised about extra animations! The are real cool.

WE7 is better but unfortunately Jonboyo makes only patches for PES3 and the weleaders patch for WE7 is not very good.

I agree with you Mumpleaser .. PES3 is way better than WE7. WE7 is too hard and I don`t wanna spend 1 year learning how to do things - I`d say WE7 is soccer and PES3 is football

Bu the way are there really more animations in PES3, I have seen animations which I havent seen in WE7. While I play WE7 a lot more then PES3. Is it just me or is it really true?

Some people think PES3 is better (like myself) and some think that WE7 is better. But as an European I prefer PES3.

It´s more difficult (dribbling etc.) and it´s slower. But from what I´ve heard it depends much on your TV which game is slower. Also the goalkeepers are a bit better in WE7, especially at crosses. PES3 keepers are horribly weak. I don´t care about some new animations, to be honest I didn´t norice any new animations. This doesn´t change the fact that both games are great.
