From what i've seen, Giggs is one of the players that has given the most this season. Saha also did well in the beginning and Larsson gave them a good boost when he was there. Carrick has turned out to be a good acquisition, but he gets a lot of hate for who knows what reason.

Scholes is English.

He's good at what he does, but he's not the reason Ronaldo has done so well.

He is one of the other half a dozen reasons.

I'm a Liverpool fan. I hate Man United. Scholes was and still is a World Class player in the truest sense of the word. His tackling is shocking yes but he still gets in people's faces. His passing and vision are sublime. His ability to strike the ball from distance is superb. He always has time on the ball and can beat a man without having to look flamboyant. People talk about Lampard as if he was the first player to score goals from Midfield in the Prem but Scholes was doing it long before him and he was scoring poachers goals as well not just deflecting efforts from 30 yards when he had about 10 shots a game.

Scholes always turns up for big games (if he isn't banned for his shocking tackles.)

As a Liverpool fan I can honestly say that he is up there with Bergkamp for players that have been absolute joy to watch and given I hate the ginger manc cunt that is really as high a praise as I can give the lad.

If you offered me Zidane in his pomp or Scholes in his I would take Scholes. Sure Scholes was not as much of a flair player but I can honestly say I think he would outscore Zidane in any given Season pick out more assists, has a better work rate (showing in his longevity) and generally is everything I could ever want from an Attacking Midfield player.

Drogba has played better against the top 3 than C. Ronaldo against the top 3.

There is no doubt that C. Ronaldo has had an amazing season, but I didn't feel he was amazing against the bigger sides. He didn't do much against Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal. While Drogba managed to score against Liverpool and Arsenal (in the CC final).

I certainly don't because it's as big a myth as saying it took him a year to adapt to English football.

The team of the year is an absolute joke. Van der sar? Friedel, James, Foster and Cech have been the best keepers this season. I would have had Brad Friedel personally, look at all the penalty saves he made and hasnt put a foot wrong. Its only because he's not english and doesnt play for a big team, he wasnt picked. Essien not being picked is a joke, Dunne deserves a place, the most underrated defender in the league and so does Shorey.

The fact theres only 1 player in that team who doesnt play for a top 4 club says it all to me. These things are an absolute farce.
