The idea was for people to list thier top 10 in order. So statements like "anyone in G14 is a big club" is not very constructive. Its a highly subjective issue and there are about 5 clubs that are arguebly the biggest in the world depending on what criteria you go on.

I consider Big the club who has supporters worldwide, the club who has a lot of history and big accomplishments in the past, as well in the present.
Teams that are recognised in every country are also considered big clubs for me, because if they are known in every country that they play, it means something.
The club's history is very important, because it was the time that football was played like a sport and not a business like nowadays, and in that time clubs had players who loved to play for the team and not for the money.
That's why my club is a big club, because we always had those kind of players until the end of 90's, now, money speaks lowder....

54 players? What you mean in our 1st team or all together? There is no way we have 54 players in our 1st team. There are more city fans in Manchester ya'know...

Manchester United are the biggest club in the world in my eyes and I don't even support them. I take into account fan base and revenue plus history no matter where from and the attendances they get.

-Manchester United
-Real Madrid
-Liverpool
-Barcelona
-AC Milan
-Ajax
-Inter
-Benfica
-Boca
-River
-Rangers
-Celtic
-Bayern Munich
Possibly one or two more.

Juventus is laughable, considering their shitty attendances and fanbase worldwide is poor. First person to mention Chelsea deserves to be shot.

Rangers and Celtic are much bigger than the likes of Lyon. If there was a British premiership instead of an English one both clubs could seriously challenge Liverpool and Man Utd in terms of club size.

Due to the nature of thier leagues Rangers, Benfica, Celtic, Dynamo Kiev and other former European giants are struggling to keep up with those in the "big" leagues.

I hate Juve but they are a big club no doubt about that. Thier bad attendances is due more to its location than anything else. They are well supported allover Italy and the world.

Fairplay as they have a huge fanbase but when you get attendances like 20,000 for a massive Champions Leage game when it could fill around 3 times as much it really is a sorry state of affairs and untill they rectify the situation I will continue in failing to acknowledge them.

I'd say the size and stature of a club is based purely on their following and historical achievements.
