Pro Evo 06 Crash

I have recently started a new Master League team, grinding my way through the division 2 games, gaining promotion to div 1 then about six games in I go to the, choose kits screen, then as soon as I ok this and progress to the set team formation etc screen my PS2 crashes. I restarted played the previous few games then saved before the same match and it crashes every time I come to the same screen against the same team. Checked the CD, no scratches / gunk to speak of.

I wondered if anybody else had come across this, as I don't think I've had a PS2 crash at exactly the same point in a game before?

Also I recently purchased the latest option file update from this site and although I am impressed once again by the attention to detail of the update in general I was shocked to find that a large number of player created youngsters with ludacrous stats (& perposterous names such as "HenryIsKing"!) had found their way into the game who were avlailible to buy in the masterleague thus rendering it a farce, does anyone else find created players or classic players in Master League an irretation?

They are SLIGHTLY annoying
