i think last nights game sums up the reason why the fans have been quite negative this season. For example AW has persisted with Eboue, who has been shocking while plenty of fans have been calling for Carlos Vela to get some time on the pitch - lo and behold, he gets a game when Eboue is suspended and has an absolute stormer - we looked a much neater team last night.

Absolutely delighted for Eduardo - seeing him scoring again after a whole year of hard work to pick up where he left off bought a tear to my eye.

Nice to NOT see any silly dancing after the goals too (Ade!).

Cant wait to see Arshavin in the team too.

Not a damn thing silly about Adebayor's dancing! The dance he done at Blackburn this season was brilliant.

I hope Wenger doesn't go back to routine of playing Eboue wide right. We've got some decent options available now, and that's still with Walcott to come back.

Bendtner has said playing out wide has improved his game. You know what..... I actually agree with him.... seriously.

ARSENE WENGER is close to landing £4million PSG ace Mamadou Sakho.

The Arsenal boss has been tracking the versatile defender, 19, ever since he broke through to PSG’s first team.


Sakho became PSG’s youngest ever captain when he was 17, which also made him the youngest player to captain a French Ligue 1 team.

BRAZILIAN striker Nene has fuelled speculation he could join Arsenal in the summer.
Reports claim Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is plotting a swoop for the talented hitman, who has fired 14 goals in 17 games for Portuguese side Nacional this season.

Although the 25-year-old has not yet received an official approach from the Londoners, he admits a move to the Emirates would be a dream.

Nene said: “I only know about the rumours in the press.

"I have spoken with my agent and we still have not received a concrete offer.

“I am focussed on helping Nacional to seucre success this season.

"My dream is to progress in football and it is normal that I desire a bright future.”

I'm seeing a brighter future for us at the moment.

Arsenal fans are no strangers to seeing their team emerge for a new season missing a star or two and containing new, unknown faces.

And come this August, the situation at the Emirates Stadium promises to be no different as Arsene Wenger gets ready to shuffle his pack once again.

First up, and the most plausible of today's stories concerning various Gunners, present and future, is Emmanuel Adebayor.

Despite his apparent admiration for himself (see last year's contract/transfer saga), the African player of the year has failed to hit the heights of last season so far this campaign, and word has it that Wenger is about to lose patience.

And with Barcelona still interested in the striker - regardless of Arsenal's £20 million valuation - a bid to take the Togo international to the Camp Nou could yet be resurrected this summer.

The good news for Arsenal fans is that with Adebayor gone, and with that kind of cash in the bank, Wenger would be able to strengthen his squad to the tune of one Klaas Jan Huntelaar and one Mamadou Sakho.

The former we already know all about: Dutch, classy, a natural born goalscorer and very possibly available after having become disillusioned with life at Real Madrid - the former Ajax man has struggled to settle since his January move to the Bernabeu and was left out of Real's revised Champions League squad.

Wenger would have to stump up £15m for the 25-year-old, but that would still leave enough to make a swoop for £4m-rated Sakho, who has all the hallmarks of a typically astute Wenger buy.

The youngster is only 18 years old yet incredibly he has already captained Paris St Gemain - at the tender age of 17. Of Senegalese descent, the central defender, who can also play on the left, would provide the Gunners with plenty of options, having started his career as a striker.

Meanwhile, talks over a new deal for Theo Walcott appear to have hit a snag over significantly different valuations of the England international.

Walcott's people want £50,000-a-week but the club's initial offer has fallen below that mark. According to the Daily Telegraph the player wants to stay at the Emirates, but with his current deal expiring at the end of next season - and with Champions League football far from guaranteed - Arsenal will need to up the ante soon if they are not to have another Mathieu Flamini situation on their hands.
