Spread your gutar wings a bit further and take in a bit 'o BB King or Matt "Guitar" Murphy's stuff. Soulful blues guitar at it's best. Would be criminal not to include Seasick Steve in here as well, totally different sound but pure class.

I didn't venture much in this area, true. Listening through the Iron Maiden albums...the guitar work, not only the solos, are amazing! Prowler, Phantom of the Opera, Transylvania, The Number of the Beast, Still Life, The Trooper - fuck, the list could go on and on!

Steve Vai, Steveie Ray, Malmsteen etc all greats. But Hendrix has to go down as the best Rock guitarist ever simply for his Originality at the time and his influence on future musicians.
