Season 5 is confirmed as the last. Sixteen episodes.

However, they wrote it such that season 4 (which I'm yet to start) could have been the end if the show wasn't renewed. I'm not sure if seaosn 4 finished in a such a way that it would be accepted as an ending or if it was tweaked slightly after they found out about season 5.

EDIT: Will be shown as two mini-seasons of eight episodes.

Can't wait. It's going to be emotional. Walter White and Jesse Pinkman have been excellent throughout the series and Gustavo Fring has been an excellent addition to the show.

I really can't see this show having a happy ending. Hopefully with Walter White making the transition from geeky high school chemistry teacher to badass crystal meth cook, he goes out with a bang. He's turned into such a badass.

However, it's only 8 episodes..... then a further 8 episodes the following summer.

Just gone through the series again. Never do that with TV series but this show is just too God damn good.

Finally got round to watching this and I'm hooked. I'm half way through season 3 and I've only started watching it just over a week ago.
