No Match experience points?

I'm in my 4th season of BAL (now with AC Milan) and my player isnt getting Match experience points (the red bars) when he plays a match, he only gets strength experience points. What does this mean? My player has peaked at the ripe old age of 20?

ive never gotten red bars before, all i seem to get is green and my player is only 17 so surely i should be gettin match experience?

I'm on my third season and I hardly get match experience points. Maybe it has to do with the position you play - for example AMF's will get experience points if they dish out assits, CFs if they score, etc. Who knows.

p.s. Anyone know of a good guide for BAL mode?

Ive also noted not getting match experience and I think I know why. If you take note of your players position in the team formation, look at his attack and defence settings. If you are not playing the way your asked to, or out of position a lot you are not going to get experience. Ive had match ratings of 7 not get any XP, but a 6.5 get a tonne of XP when I play as asked.

yeah, u are right. I just scored in a game and got an assist. The season before my guy was on everton and scored 27 goals and had 8 assists.. now he's on Milan and only has 9 goals and 10 assists.... i miss scoring so much and getting all those match experience points

Match Experience Points...

You will gain "Match Experience Points" for getting a rating of 7.0 or above. You will only get "Match Experience Points" for the attributes you play well with...

Shooting - Scoring goals, getting shots on-target
Passing - Completed passes and assists
Defence - Winning tackles
Heading - Winning headers
Stamina - Finishing the match with stamina let over (I think, not too sure about this one)

Ratings...

7.0 - You will get minimal Match Experience Points for the attributes you use well

7.5 - You will get Slightly higher Match Experience Points for the attributes you use well

8.0 - You will get even higher Match Experience Points for the attributes you use well

I haven't got a higher rating than 8.0 so I can't comment on those... But 8.0, I got allot of Match Experience Points.

REMEMBER! You don't get Match Experience Points for skipping matches!

Also something to add... Whether you are training a specific attribute or not, you will still get Match Experience Points.

when you go on player strengethening and use the 12 points given. does it affect the way your player plays or just your exp points?

How much Match Experience Points for 7.0 rating? Actually i have gotten match experience points for getting 5.5, 6.0 or 6.5 too, it ranges from 1-3 points. Some times i cant even see the pink bar at all but i gained 1 or 2 point(s). When it is 3 points, i can see the bar clearly. I play on Top Player.

What i have noticed is that for the first 2 season (age 17 and 18), if i score 7.0 and higher, i dont get match experience. But if i get 6.0 and less, i get match experience.

Maybe what alot of people expect (including me at first), due to the way Konami explain it in the Tips section, is to get tons of match experience, like say 10-20 points.

Doesn't seem that way. It seems you just get a set amount of match EXP. Only strength points will decrease when you get older.

Do it doesn't expect the way your player plays. If you skip matchs or play matches you will always get the same strength EXP. Only when you get older the points decrease.
