Can you not use VLC? I use it for most of my legal ( ) streaming needs and it works just fine.

that might work, but the stream i'll be watching really is legal and i think it needs wmp to install some licences and that.

the problem is it tells what the problem is but after hours of searching i could not find a solution for it.

No mate, they all say it's about the security level. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with one of the millions of fucking updates they have you download, because it was fine around september/october, then it went shite.
