Has anyone experience change in gameplay speed (Sometimes fast / Sometimes slow)

PS3

Post patch I've noticed that sometimes the gameplay speed is fairly fast in one game. Sometimes its slower in another. Now I don't know if this has to do with weather and stadiums but its odd. Example:

I was playing a worldcup with argentina. In the quaters I played S.Korea and it was a pretty fast paced game (seemed pretty close to 08 style). The following game i play Germany and it was about the same pace (I lost 1-0). In the 3rd place match against senegal it was now fairly slow gameplay (close to pre-patch) compared to the last 2 matches.

These speed changes are noticable and Im not sure why its fluctuating. Its like my PS3 is running super fast then its slows up. Odd :/.

It slows down because the players are affected by fatigue as the tournament progresses. When you first start Champions League mode you can choose if you want to enable "accumulated fatigue" or not. I'm not sure if this applies to other modes. If not, use the turnover mothod, which means, change your lineups every match with fresh players from the bench, meanwhile allowing the tired players to rest. You'll notice the fresh players will run faster.

Each player has a green fatigue bar next to their name in the substitutions menu, this tells you how tired they are.

I understand all the fatigue elements of the game. I don't think it was that at all. The game was playing faster overall. Now maybe its my eyes playing games on me.

Im going to do an experiment with all the different stadiums and see what comes up. The change in speed was just a bit too drastic. Well see :P.

I thought I noticed the speed slightly get faster between 10 min and 5 minute matches, but only slightly. Maybe I'm imagining it, but it woudl make some sense if it were true (so that more canhappen in a 5 min match).

^I never noticed it. But speed changes mostly with weather condition and player condition.

The change is really noticeable, even the overall performance of your players.

Mine is usually in conjunction with the weather; rain = slow game as the ball is slowed by the pitch, dry = fast game cause the ball moves faster.

I think there is also something in place regarding the teams you play, the tempo of games that the big clubs play in is quite obvious, Arsenal like quick football so I think the game is sped up slightly due to you matching their style, other teams like Juventus like to build the ball slowly so the game is slower.

I think its part of the game. I have noticed this on previous versions. Sometimes when i play my mates we shout out at the start. fast game!! yes! sad but seems to be a difference in some games, we usually do exihibition 2 player so its nothing to do with fatigue in that respects. Prob makes a difference in tournament modes.

Interesting how it's more realistic to play when your players are more tired

It's just too fast most of the time.

Experienced the thing going faster.

I'm pretty sure that it has got ntg to do with the game settings (conditions, etc). Coz my players are visibly hopping around like cartoon characters during corner kicks.
The thing just got faster suddenly.

Weird
