Sean, you do realise that rather than set the date as 10th January in the event, you can set it for whenever you want the final betting to end. Then, as you see fit, you can amend this bet with renewed odds.

Users get the odds they placed at the time, so it's entirely possible to simulate the live market with less hassle.

The only problem then is that people might bet while games are going on - but it's no big deal, really. I don't think anyone's that bothered. You can always just void a particular bet, I believe, if they break the gentleman's agreement and bet-in-play on the outright relegation?

Same for the winners, and all bets.
