OK.. any REAL help for Editing Faces?

Hi People.

want to know about face editing. now before someone rants about doing a search or pointing me in the direction or Davidian.. please wait.

Firstly.. I'm a bit of noob when it comes to editing full stop. and seen as though everyone else on the forums does such a fantastic job at creating kits/balls/boots/stadiums/music/menu's etc. I've never felt the need to dabble.

but editing faces is something that not many people have touched on. I have spent a few evenings downloading various editing tools, and reading posts by various other users, but I couldn't actually get it to work.. when I edited my faces the game just crashed! when copied one face from a player to another.. I got a "ghost" face.

But the reason I'm posting is this.

I'm a aware that Davidian is probably the most advanced user on this. But his posts are more like a gallery of what he has done, even though people are asking for help or sample patches he just keeps showing more and more example screenshots of his work.

I'm not interested in mithering someone for a patch, just a step by step idiots guide of how to create and import a custom face.

I know there was a tutorial in french, however I think that page is now down. I would gladly try and convert it to english myself if anyone still has that page.

other than that can anyone else point me in the right direction for a good tutorial.. (i know its a difficult job but I'm willing to put all my free time into this).

things like..

tools needed (just incase I'm using the wrong ones)

how to convert image type in photoshop.

how to import back (and tweaks needed etc)

I'm ok creating in photoshop, and I'm aware of face models being different shapes etc.

please help, cos I cannot find any resources of real value on this editing subject.
