True Stories : Afghan Star

Anyone catch this?

It was on More 4...

It was a documentary about the Afghanistan TV show called "Afghan Star" and its four finalists. Basically an Afghan X-factor, if you will.

I've watched it all, and its a really interesting look into like their culture and everything.

I didn't realise there would be programmes like this is Afghanistan, so I suppose its opened my eyes or whatever.

But what hasn't opened my eyes is the whole, repress the women way of life. I hate the fact that women have to cover themselves up and stuff. Obviously I don't want everyone parading around in miniskirts and the like (ninja) but yeah, its pretty extreme.

So, anyone else watch this? What did you think of it?

I cant say that I understand there culture but I respect it enough not to question what they wear or dont wear, as for the Afghan X-factor, I would watch it, id say it would be hilarious.

Some things in life are confusing. Like the fact that it is hot over there and they have to cover themselves up whereas in Scotland it is fucking freezing yet people parade the streets next to nothing (not that I am complaining).
