This was the great pub discussion tonight with the lads.

Remember Branco? Believe he played for Middlesbrough at one point. He could nail the old size 5!

Names mentioned tonight were Carlos, Carlos and erm, Carlos.

People also say that they're better because the ball in those days was heavier & soaked-up water etc.
I disagree. I think this probably helped, because Charlton could spank it, still keeping the shot low, because of the inertia the weight of the ball gave the shot. If he hit half those shots we see with a lighter, modern ball, I think theyd've just kept going up!
