Ah cool, just don't buy from that site.
Just read a review by a couple of people online who have indeed confirmed the site as to selling fakes. Also stating that in order to return the item(s) for refund, you have to send them back to...China (the land of fake clothing) - and it also obviously costs a lot to send back, and apparently the site is even reluctant to refund the P&P costs. The site is fake in every single way. Just glad you know now, before you really wasted quite a bit of money.

Is there any good US trainer sites where they deliver to the UK what you know of?

Right, currently I have a pair of Reebok Classics for Gym and running but they are beyond wrecked. I don't think they will last much longer and to be honest I want a new pair anyway.
Do any of you guys have suggestions for a pair with good support, comfortable and not stupidly expensive? I'm asking the guys who take part in regular exercise and know that the brand/style is actually up to the task, not just which ones have the best advertising campaign with celebrity endorsements or look coolest. |

I've always found Asics to be a good solid trainer. I've had problems with my ankles in the past and Asics shoes have always been good with that.
I tried some new ones recently. Typically I steer away from the bigger brands, but read some good things about a few Nike running shoes. The Nike Dual Fusion shoes which I've been very impressed with so far. Reebok Classics are about as bad as it gets for running in though!

Reebok Classics?
![]() Nath is spot on with regards to Asics, they often last a long time and are incredibly soft and comfortable. This does usually come with a price tag of £60+ mind. If you want good quality, you tend to have to pay good money. No point buying some for £40 only to replace them with another £40 set 8 months from now. Personally, I own Nike's at the moment, no idea on their name because I bought them around 3 years ago, for £35 in a sale at a fitness shop in Newcastle. A little bit of the sole has been coming away, but considering that's about all that has happened with them, they've been truly fantastic. Whereas, my friend bought some Nike's a few weeks ago and the stitching has already started to come off. I think it's a case of pot luck with Nike if my experiences are anything to go by. My advice is to throw the Classics in the bin, literally, and stump up good money for a highly rated pair, possibly Asics.

The Classics were bought for a holiday years ago and as the rest of my trainers are even less suited I just stuck to them.
I've worn the life out of them and they were really comfy, mainly due to the fact they were so worn. I looked at some Asics recently, they do seem to be the leading brand for running. Thanks for the reply. |

I try to change my trainers at least once a year, and if I ran more I'd go down further. Anything less than that and you'll suffer from a lack of grip, support and cushioning. All of that well go some way to not protecting your joints correctly, and impeding your running and lateral movement too. Treat yourself to some new ones too pal!

Nice Top Gun, I've had my pair for probably a few months now. Footlocker usually sucks mind, they have the same stock for freakin' ages. So tedious going in there now. I still want these mind but can't seem to find them anymore in my size:

There's no Footlocker where I live these days so it was all new to me
Was pretty set on getting those when I saw them though, plus got some gel things to put in the soles.

Ah, you bought into the ole' Footlocker sales people pushing the little accessories like gel soles, surprised you haven't come away with new laces too.
Pointless mind those gel soles, I bought into that whole schtick a few years back when I purchased my leather hi-top Converse, but they were just hassle. No idea where the gel soles are now, probably in the bin somewhere. They just cause more blisters and unnecessary rubbing more than anything to be honest. Just throw them on eBay and retrieve some of the money back. ![]()
